It's 55' X 24'. I was close on the width the first time!!!

I HAD A BLAST MEETING EVERYONE AND FINALLY GETTING SOME DIRT OVAL TIME IN THIS YEAR!!!! CAN'T WAIT TILL NEXT SUMMERS SEASON!!! (look out tho, i'm not gonna be wheeling a truggy next time...)

Ther is no way that lttle track in point was that big...... Sorry, but I just cant belve it... LOL

We will be going back to sundays out at the dirt oval track if anybody is interested.. there will be no official racing but you can come out and have fun.. I am going to talk to elmer about making some plywood jumps so we can make a off road area aso.. let me know if your still interested in making the trip..
Looks right now like the wether will be ok this sunday.

Those are outside dimensions. Apex to Apex is about 42' The track is 12' wide on the straights and 7'7" wide in the corners. I had read about another oval track that did that to get a longer straight away. It worked great, unless of course you were a bad driver, then you would want wider corners.

Iv been looking at race vidios at the point oval, and looking at the track with cars sitting on it, it looks like it cant be more then 16 foot wide at the most, and remebering how hard you had to turn to make the corner, it seemed like less then that...

Back to the dirt oval,,, I have talked it over with Elmer and we are going to add a off road track to the west of the oval track.. I am in the process of drawing up plans and tacking mesurments.. if the whether permits, i plane on starting on it soon.. so it may be ready to try yet this fall but will defenetly be done for the next out door season..
