Dear RCX Driver:
We are thrilled that you will be participating in the first “Ultimate Radio Control Expo” in the Chicago area. The show is only 1 week away and the excitement is starting to build.
As you get ready to finalize your plans for RCX we want to make sure that you have all the details you need to ensure you get the most out of this action-packed event.
As a Driver we have created a common and secure Driver Pit Area within the event. This pit area will be located in the South Parking lot of the event. This area will be fenced, secured with our security team and nobody except for you, event organizers and the other drivers will have access. This area is conveniently located for Drivers of the Supercross Track to access the South Hall and the Drivers of the RCX Challenge, RC Drift and RC Drag Races to access their outdoor areas.
Here’s how it works:
1) Your race organizer will provide RCX with a list of drivers that are competing in their events.
2) The morning of the event the Driver Pit Area can be accessed for set up between 8am and 10am. Just come to the South Lot of the event and follow the signs to the Driver Check In Area. Then just provide your name and you will receive further instructions as well as your credentials. Please note: anyone who is not a fellow driver who is in the car with you at time of check in will be required to pay $20 for their credential.
3) Once you receive your credentials you will simply park and next to your car you can erect a tent, tables, chairs and create your pit area. Once you are ready to race or check out the event you can simply lock up your valuables and go. Please note that there are no ins and outs in this area so if you leave with your car you will not be able to get back in.
4) If for any reason you do not make it by 10am you will not be able to access the Driver Pit area and you will be forced to park in the general parking lot of the event and pay $10. If your name is on the list but you did not make it in time than simply park as described and go to will call. All Driver names will be transferred to will call after 10am. If you are not on the list then you will have to park in the general parking and pay as well as pay to get in (buy a ticket). Please note that it is your race organizers responsibility to provide us with their drivers list so if you are not on the list then your organizer did no provide us your name. No hassles please. This is something you will have to take up with your organizer.
With that being said, we hope the flexibility of this area will provide a good experience for you and we look forward to having you at RCX. We will see you all on August 6 and good luck!
Sincerely,
RCX
