BOBBY AWESOME TRACK REVIEW
The pictures are pretty good to let you know what to expect at the track. No X-Games super jumps or drag strips. But the pictures really don't do the layout justice. You have to show up and race.
Today I got to drive a 2WD Slash, 4WD Slash, and an electric buggy. All of them were really fun on this track because there are good combinations of turns, jumps, and elevation changes. There are several spots where you get to try different lines and decide how to make jumps. Different people are going to be faster at different parts of the track - which make racing a lot more fun. It would be a fantastic on-road layout. I really think this track layout could be found at any state championship.
When you show up, you won't find usual stuff you find at a track - like bathrooms, electricity, or pits. You already know that. What you will find is AMB scoring, a challenging track, and good people.
If I had to criticize, the worst part is the driver's stand. I bet they are working on that. It still works and you can see the entire track, but it would be more convenient to be a little higher and a bit further from the track.
Look for this track when other places are closed due to rain. This thing sheds water very well and can be ready very quickly after a storm.
Dirt Werx gets the Bobby Awesome seal of approval.

Looking for some feedback for the first summer series guys... with Deweys and Dirt Werx.
"pro/open" classes are going to have cash prizes... do you want end of the series trophies and cash every event or all the cash at the end of the series??
The more I think of it the more I think payback at every event with trophies at the end would be best...
Input appreciated
Here are some "soft" ideas we are yet to hammer down.
8th scale buggy
4wd SCT
2wd stock/17.5 SCT
possibly having open/pro and sportsman for the buggy and 4wd.. input?
sportsman will run shorter mains, and for no money.. or we can all run together.
2wd will allow stock tires, S1 traxxas, bow ties, and calibers.. nothing else.
2 races at deweys, 2 at dirt werx starting the end of may and alternating through june.
So input on the above plus some more questions..
Truggies??? We will need a decent heat of them to fit it into the program..
split into pro/sportsman??
Money each event or only the end??

Chase for the 2wd SC I would open on the tires or stay with Kit tires. If you allow proline you might as well let AKA and JConcepts in too. Look at what the other are doing around here. I know Jtec is open on tires. Don't think it matters at deweys either. I personally like the new subcultures they seem to work pretty good for me. RJDs not sure I haven't been there since last year. I am refering to Stock/17.5 SC.

Everyone around here that has been racing has been using those. If others prefer completely open tire rule I am open to the idea 100%. I just did not want to start a huge tire war in the "lesser" expensive class.

I think a series unless the tires are provided should probably be stock or open to all 10th sct tires. Just have to talk with Dewey.
Should have full details by Sunday.
