Could be cool..... any interest in the 17.5/losi spec tire stock sprint class?

robk 09-06-2009 07:01 AM

bump

Stetler17 09-08-2009 01:09 PM

This race is getting close and we need info on classes and rules.

I don't see anything on here or over at Dirtoval.com other than there is a track and there is going to be a race.

I'm sure I'm not the only one that is interested, but I can't justify the drive just to find out I don't have anything to run.

Other than that......THIS SOUNDS LIKE AN AWESOME DEAL.

From the Leisure Hours web board"

"Leisure Hours Raceway - September Updates

1. Dirt Oval – Special events starting September 16-20th on the indoor track. All classes welcome. Electric, Nitro, Slash, Edm, Sprint Cars, 1/18th etc.
This will be are 1st Dirt oval race week: (Wednesday: open practice, Thursday electric only practice, Friday open practice, Saturday open practice, Sunday race) watch for times and details.

The second dirt oval week will be November 11 – November 15. The third one is scheduled for December 9 – December 13. "

They still need to say something about tires, wings, etc.

cyoder#9 09-08-2009 03:04 PM

is this track big anough 4 1/8 latemodels?

Bubba Cola 09-08-2009 03:47 PM

Track size is 120X60 Should be about 84 foot straight. Hard packed high bite clay. We know for sure no foam tires. As far as rules go. For our first race. we will run what you brung so what your local club track rules are will be fine.

Stetler17 09-08-2009 04:46 PM

No foams on 1/10 sprints on hard packed clay?

Are you wanting Monee syle rubber tires only, as pin spikes will not be suited to the hard pack?

Thanks for any clarification.

I believe I can speak for Mr. Bernie if you can get alot of the guys to come down with them like Dean, Joe, Jesse W., maybe Pete and others, they will be more than happy to make a class for you. Being there first race they don't know what to expect so if we can bring down the class the way we run it at Trackside and CRC Bernie would be very happy to see you guys (even if he doesn't look like it he's happy on the inside!!! j/k)

See you soon Bernie!

Bubba Cola 09-10-2009 07:21 AM

If you guys run foam at your track We will run them. we don't want to run foam and rubber tire in the same class so we will make two classes. One rubber one foam. :-)

Stetler17 09-10-2009 09:56 AM

I don't have any problems with not running foams.

I hate to split the class over tires...so, when in Rome...:)

Just trying to understand what your looking for in classes and rules. Mikey D. posted on DirtOval that CW street tracks would be the tire of choice and that sounds good to me.

Mikey D. 09-10-2009 12:13 PM

I do say that because of what I know works here at trackside and having run at Leisure Hours many times. They should work very well.

Brandon_oma#692 09-10-2009 01:35 PM

Any pictures of the oval track?

bigcat17 09-10-2009 07:27 PM
