Horizon Hobby Shootout- October 10-12
Horizon Hobby is proud to announce that, together with partner track, JTEC Racing and Fun in Tilton, IL, the First Annual Horizon Hobby Shootout will be held on October 10, 11 & 12. This Off-road and Oval event is expected to draw some of the top drivers form across the Midwest. The West Coast will also be represented with Team Losi Racing’s drivers and special guests. Adam Drake, 2008 ROAR 1/8 Scale National Champion Mike Truhe and ROAR Vice Champion Billy Fischer are all scheduled to appear. R/C Driver Magazine Executive Editor Greg Vogel will also be on hand to cover all the fast and exciting racing action.
Off-road classes will include 1/8 Scale Buggy, 1/8 Scale Truggy and 1/10 Scale Truck. The New JTEC Dirt Oval will also be used for side-by-side action in the ultra fun 1/8 Scale Late Model class.
Festivities will begin on Friday, October 10, with open practice from 9am-9pm. Saturday’s schedule calls for practice from 7:30am-9:30am to be immediately followed by a driver’s meeting. Racing kicks off with two rounds of qualifying beginning at 10am. Sunday will see the final round of qualifying beginning at 9am with the mains to follow. Please see below for a full schedule of events and class details.
Entry fee is $40 for the first class and $25 for each additional class. Entries will be limited to the first 160 paid entries. Trophies will be awarded to the Top 3 in each class, and the prize vault for this race is huge. In addition to the action on both tracks, members of the E-flite Air and Heli team will be on site conducting demos throughout the event.
Additional race information will be announced soon. Entry forms, maps and local hotel information is available on JTEC’s website, http://www.jtecracing.com

Power at the track
We have a field next to the track for pitting and camping. There is no dedicated camping hook ups for power. Bring a Gen Set.
