Scotty,
Thanks for the great night of racing. Had a ton of fun in Mini and trans-am, really close racing in both classes.
Did anyone find a Tamiya one-way outdrive last night?
I think it should be just left of the driver's stand, in the short shoot, right before the chiccane. If anyone has found it, please let me know. Thanks.

Nope. That would be too quick. I would want Snowflake to enjoy every wheelbarrow that he moves over to the rug!

Hey All,
I would like to start doing some off road racing at trackside. I have never raced before so I would assume I should start off in the Sportsman/Novice class...good idea??
If so, based on the rules it looks like my stock Slash would be legal...true?
If the Slash is legal for this class, can someone give me a basic starting point for suspension set up? Basically just looking for a stock piston and oil baseline.
Can we use alternative springs if they are Traxxas springs?
Finally, what's the best night to show up - Thurs., Fri., all of the above
Thanks for any help/opinions/suggestions!

Best night to show up is Friday for sportsman, every body starts at
sportsman young and old Thursday is there is no sportsman, just no turn out for it. I believe the Blackmon family is the best to ask for advice on the slash, hopefully I didn't butcher their name. You can run a brushless system
in sportmans 17.5 if you want . If its cost and you just want to stick with
the 12t thats fine to. Most time changes to the slash , none of us worry about it. Oils, shocks spring, pinions. Its more about learning to drive a race course, which is a big difference from bashing. It looks easy, but takes time
to learn throttle control. Number #1 mantra told to all "Slow is Fast".

Hey Dan!
Thanks again! Got it! I think the Sportsman class sounds like a lot of fun. My initial goals are to slap my stock Slash down and see if I can giggle for four minutes straight
Best regards!

With the TCS race next week, would anyone want to run GT3 this coming Tuesday?
