Does trackside get ESPN2? Anaheim 1 is going to be on ESPN2 during the novak race.

Nexus, last saturday buggies were about six I think. I might be wrong I didn't sit and count them all. They were all running stock on saturday.

Peace Aaron

Is there still time to register for the Novak race? I'm looking forward to going to Trackside for that event. How many entries are there usually in the Sportsman class?

Don't worry we know bad carpet when we see it and your carpet is fine. The carpet that we had last year was so bad we were pulling fuz balls the size of a base ball off our cars after each run. Shane can attest to that. Looking forward to racing there the next chance I get.

FLUSH!!!

I feel better now.

HOORAY to Scotty for voicing his opinion now and then!

ROB! Are Derrick and Wes coming up with you?

NOVAK registrations must be in WITH payment by Dec24 for a t-shirt. You can register up till the week of the race though.

Mike - looks like the Oklahoma crew will consist of:

Myself
Derek England
Wes Wood
Randy Cook
Jim Scott
Monte Hess
Craig McMillan
Jay Osborn

Had a few who were unable to go at the last minute. No bother, all of the important ones are going to make it.

lol re: retarded seals. I always wanted to have a night club called "Club Baby Seal."

I'll say. There are more levels than just bad and good carpet, and the carpet at Trackside is definitely not bad!

MARCCA's carpet was the worst I'd ever seen. I probably destroyed 50 bearings on that track, just from carpet fiber. You had to rebuild after every pack you ran, it was that bad.

Last year's Snowbirds was pretty bad too. By the end of the weekend, the carpet had worn through in the areas of the track that were shared by touring and oval, and the boards underneath warped enough that the surface was uneven. Cars were catching air heading on to the straight. Great fun to watch in mod!

But Trackside's carpet? Sure, it's not brand new, but the last time I was there (mid October) it looked fine to me. My car had plenty of traction, and it was still smooth. I think it's perfectly fine. My honest opinion is that this year's Novak race might do it in, but you never know. Of course we'd all like to have new carpet (or where I am, ANY carpet!) all the time, but it's tough.

Anyway, there ya have it. Carpet horror stories.
