I've been gone for too long. Curious as to what people are running for tires, speed controls, batteries in stock short course. Thinking about maybe running some off road just for fun once in a while. Probably just run my old Blitz....

Maybe a dumb question, but is the D3.5 allowed in 13.5 wheeler?

Our group is the last of the Blitz racers and they still run pretty well. We run AKA typos in clay compound with good success. We run Novak speed controls/motors and various 5000 mah regular size lipo packs.

Blitz parts are 75% off in the shop right now...

That is a good question. However, since it too isn't ROAR approved anymore I would have to say plan on it not being legal when you ask them that question at the track.

There's a very good blitz setup on the blitz album in my profile, along with plenty of pictures to clarify exactly how I used to set up my blitz for trackside

Default SCT Questions

Just getting back into this RC SC Truck racing after a few year off. Ran for the first time in three year this past Tuesday with my old Associated SCT. Finished 2nd last to an 8 year old girl who was giving me a run for my money.

Does anyone have a Trackside set-up for the new Associated SCT10 2.4?

Are the SCT running full length or the shorty LiPo pack?

If you are planning on running tuesday night's for a little off road action. I guess I will have run over and run my 2wd buggy! I was wondering where Mr. Key has been!

I never heard of that truck Steve, is it new?

I would search out Drake or Chad LeBeau, pronounced La bow I believe (I probably spelled their last name wrong, sorry). They have been fast with the Associated trucks. They should be able to get you going in the right direction.

Hello Dave,
Good to hear from you, been a while.

Yes, now that I finish school my plan is to get back into RC racing and run Off Road SCT on Tuesday nights when ever my work travel schedule allows.

Looking at visiting the track over Christmas break while in town and would be running 4w Buggy and I have D413 with 7.5T motor. Will there be an Open class, cause I saw it mentioned about some 13.5 class???

The open class has been hit and miss. Whereas, the 13.5 wheeler class has been mostly a hit. I would be willing to bet that if there is no open wheeler class someone might have an extra 13.5 motor you can borrow.
