Default Leisure Hours Onroad

Has anyone heard anything about the new onroad track at Lesiures, is it being built?

Default yup

from http://www.chitownrc.com, in their forums, I heard that the asphalt was put down yesterday and that it would be a few weeks until it's ready to race on.

That is great news Kenji. Too bad it wasn't done in time for the MWS race. I would have made an effort to get the days off of work for it.

More good news; the idea to cut-out large pieces of asphalt, has been abandoned! Instead, moveable barriers & manufactured corner markers will be used.

Good to hear things are moving for L.Hs onroad venue. Haven't made time to travel to IRP or any MWS races. Would love to hear screaming Sedan again.
Cutting out asphalt to make a quasi-ribbon track was always questionable..imo Much easier to to make a wider variety of layouts.
Hey Ron! Hope things are well!

They must be ready by August 18th....because they are hosting the RC Pro Series heat #2 in IL. Yes, electric car is allow.........only on SUNDAY night after NITRO are finsihed and leaves all the grease and oil/fuel on the track for the extra challenge.

Howard, its not nice to lead them into believing that they can run their cars on this caliber of track. Electric cars belong on the rug.

Rookie, actually the castor enhances the traction & makes it easier for the flashlights to get around the track. But I am not sure we should allow them access anyway, since we are banned from running on their precious fuzz.

Duneland............what is your next scheduled racing? RC Pro series? Then Mentor? Then Toledo? I might come for 1 of the race and wondering where are you staying....

That's only because the Mod Electric guys can whoop just about every nitro car out there with the exception of a few 1/8's
