Post RCXotic.com Wants You!

RCXotic.com has some good news for a few lucky people! We're currently looking for a few How-To columnists for our site. They need to be experienced in r/c long enough to teach a new-comer the essentials on building kits, repairing multiple things and even how to get them through their first race.

What does a columnist do you ask? Well, A How-To columnist is responsible for writing detailed step-by-step guides that teaches the reader to perform a particular task. The reader will follow every word the writer puts on paper, so it is important that the writer knows the process well before writing the article. The columnist needs only to submit each article and picture and he rest is done by the webmaster, however the columnist can easily edit already published articles using an very easy to use web-based editor.

How do you choose on what to write about? Topics of each article are very dependent on the writer. That means the writer gets to decide what How-To topic he/she should write about. We use this method because it makes no sense to ask a writer to write about something he/she does not enjoy writing about. Where's the fun in that? So the columnist is his/her own boss in terms of topic selection. Of course, the columnist is always welcomed to ask for suggestions from the entire team. Because there are numerous columnists within the RCX team, there are chances that two people may duplicate topics. Therefore, prior to writing anything, the columnist is required to tell the entire team what topic he/she will be writing about. This step is performed in the "RCX Team Area", a specialized forum reserved for volunteers & team members.

If you believe you have what it takes to be a How-To columnist for RCXotic.com make sure to contact Nick at [email protected] for more info and to receive the subject of your test article. We will choose a test article for the people that contact us and the best will be the new RCX How-To columnists! Email Nick at [email protected] and put "RCX How-To Columnist" in the subject box. You will receive a speedy reply with your test article.

That's right! Sorry I forgot about you. Well, you can be one of our columnists, but we still need more. I've changed your rating to RCX Columnist so now you have access to the RCX Headquarters & VIP Section.
