Default Schumacher Mi3.5 Set up tips

Hi,

I have just bought a Schumacher Mi3.5 and I am looking for set up tips?
Currently using the factory supplied springs.
Any ideas would be greatly welcome.

I'm interested in seeing how people are putting the thicker 24mm tall lipo packs in the car? and what they are doing for weight to balance a lipo car.

Looks like the distance from the chassis to the aluminum that holds the brace is 24mm. It's a hard wedge fit on the new SMC pack. Solutions? Ideas?

Interested in pictures of lipo installations in the Mi3 and Mi3.5

A lot of guys are just "butting" up the battery to the bulkhead and not trying to get it under, I've been told it helps in balance because the battery is placed further out on the chassis.

I run outdoor asphalt with a 13.5 speedpassion motor
ride height: 5mm
droop: 5mm
camber -1.5
white springs
35 weight shock oil
-2 degrees of toe out
I run a speedpassion LPF esc with 11.25 degrees of timing and around a 4.35 final drive.
Core 5000 Lipo
after a 6 minute race motor is hitting 178 degrees
I run a cooling fan on my motor but not on speedo

Hope this helps!!!

I have the strapping tape on as en extra precaution, I didn't used to run with that tape on but I once had a battery fly out during a race. Since I've done this I have had no problems.

Notice I do have weights on the outside of the battery that the tape is hiding.

I hope this helps some, If you use a battery strap you will need to put spacers under the battery posts using a Core 5000 lipo.

Happy Racing!

Can you show a pic of the underside of the chassis...how the battery sits in?

I have a Cat SX is it similar?

I wish they (Schumacher would have just done regular battery slots)...easier to fit the batts.
