Default Spec 1/10th scale truck

I think we need to get a spec 1/10th scale truck class going to help promote the HOBBY to the new racers.
We never finished the discussion guess we need to get BidDaddy's views on what he want to run.
Obviously we can find a class for anything but it's great to steer the Newbies to a competitive class where you can learn the fundamentals at a reasonable cost.
Need to do some Research and see what most of the RTR kits come with and compare brushed to Brushless RTR to keep things on a level playing field.
Any other schools of thought?

I'd be curious to see a list of what we'll be racing officially this season. I figure we're still a month or two out from racing, so I want to know what's being added, etc. Trying to figure out what to add or subtract from what I own currently.

Scott, I have a good amount What can I say, if I have money, I can't turn down being broke for a box of new parts. This year will likely be SC and 1/8 for me, with practice with the 2wd, but I'd be open to other stuff as well depending on turn out.

All I know is, I am waiting on my clutch for me new 1/8th and then I just need to break it in. Hoping to run more 1/8 this year... my moving electric motors did me in way too often last season.

Scott, I've run my 8ight-E a couple of times. I was having issues with the motor walking away a bit last year and then my servo went wonky. I'll probably run it some more this year as well. I'll also be running my new Durango buggy as well. I've also got an 8ight-Te that I'll probably be running a bit this year too. Once we start running again, I'll let you take the 8ight-E out and try it for yourself... you definitely couldn't do anything worse to it than I did last year, hahaha. It's cool, but I was missing the nitro last year. I wish we had enough to run nitro and a seperate electric 1/8 class, but I'm thinking that's a pipe dream on my part.

I keep trying to get Tony to build an electric 1/8 scale too, but haven't gotten him to do it yet. I may give him some of my old electric conversion stuff to try and talk him into it.

Any ideas when things will start back up again? May? Earlier? I guess a lot depends on the weather, eh?

i just went thru my tire collection and i have abunch of MT tires mounted on rims--BUT the rims are 23 mm.the tires are in great shape
there are about 4-5 sets, all panther tires.
if anyones still runs this type of hub ( 23mm) maybe on your "basher".
you can have them for FREE, because i will never ever use them again

He speaks! Thanks for the update, Matt. I know a bunch of us are chomping at the bit to get some outdoor running in.

Looks like I'm covered for everything but 1/10 truck.
