Do any of the 2wd mod guys plan on racing this Friday? I plan on going to the Eastern States Challenge on Sat, but if enough of you want to race on Friday I will do both. I'm guessing everyone who plans on racing in NJ will be saving their car for it, but I just wanted to check.

Running Spec and hopefully 17.5 this week. Still waiting to get a motor back from LRP or Fantom.

I didn't realize you were going to Vineland too! That's cool, should be a good group of us going. I'm racing my SC10 on Friday, but I wouldn't expect to see any 2wd buggies.

I'm planning to be at Pit Stop for the first time this Fri for Spec SCT!

So a few dumb Qs:
What time does the track open for practice?
And is power available via extension cord? (thought I saw somewhere that vehicles need to be parked away from the track..)

Thanks,
Gary

Gary,

Last Friday was my first time at the track. It was easy to setup and felt welcomed. I dont know the answer for practice, but They do have power and you will want to bring a cord and power strip. If you want to have a table and chair you need to bring one of those as well.

I wish I could be there this week, but we will have to wait and see what is on the famiily agenda. Have fun, it's a blast

I'm bringing a buggy on friday. I'd like to know if it's ok to get some gas truck practice before racing? Also if Jim has been allowed any saturdays races with gas racing. The best shot to run it is the RAC near Pgh the weekend after labor day, for guys out there that are still into them.

You can practice nitro vehicles anytime the shop is open (Saturdays are a good day for that). I practiced my gas truck this past Saturday and Monday. Usually the track gets worked on Friday afternoons before the racing starts, but once practice starts for the race I would probably not run it. It sucks too 'cause the track is perfect for gas truck.

If you need a place to race gas truck Vineland (NJ) has a big event this weekend and are running gas truck this Saturday. Last year there were 13 gas trucks, you are probably not going to find many places with that kind of turnout for 1/10 nitro.

No 8th scale tires are allowed. Must be SCT tires and rims only and full fender truck body.
Any other questions please ask.
Looking forward to meeting you friday night.

Default end of season

At the end of the season for spec sct and they tally up all the points. Do they hand out trophies or is it trophies and money? Also, how many places out from 1st place does pitstop award?
