Default Bumps and Jumps 09/10 offroad season

Hey its getting ever so close to start racing indoor offroad at Bumps and Jumps in Etters Pa.

This year is shaping up to be great year to race. Looks like Slash Spec truck will be huge this year with all rules being the same as last year.

Something new this year we having be looking into is a a open class of Short Coarse racing trucks (Traxxas Slash, Losi Strike, Associated SC10, and the HPI Blitz). It will be an open class so brushless and any 2 cell lipo will be ok.

We will also run all are normal classes 2wd mod, 4wd mod, mod truck, minis if we have enough, nitro stadium trucks and 1/8th scale electric or nitro.

My guess is Slash Spec and open Short Coarse will be two of the larger classes but you never know. Keep checking the thread so see when offroad racing starts.

ANy questions feel free to post them here and I will answer them or Chris McKinney the owner of Bumps will answer them.

Thanks
Brian

The way this year has been it might of turned out to be a good summer indoor season.

Jason was working on the ramps from last year. He was redoing them with new wood covering and then they will be getting the old carpet on the jumps is being replace with some new fresher carpet.

Going to be a great season this year for sure. Lots of interest and add that to alot of new guys stopping by the shop looking to get into racing will add up to some good times this winter.

Just a few more short weeks and the offroad raing will start back up alot with a full slate of oval racing as well.

Chris and a few others where doing some painting in the shop today. CHris has also added some walls along the back of the track against the building to block off the 1st 8ft of the building wall. It looks alot nicer overall, a better mounting area to hang banners and also will help keep the insulation from being ripped up.

I will post more updates on whats going on. Stay tuned.

your located near Harrisburg right? also do you have a website? I live in scranton and I'm looking for a indoor track. It's a bit of a drive for me but I'm having a difficult time finding a decent indoor facility.

It is just south of Harrisburg, off of 83 south. That is a good drive, but it would be worth it. You'll have a blast.

WooHoo finally an open SC class. I'm getting a Blitz I'm not sure what I will put in it. I guess I will wait but I'm thinking a Novak 10.5T or CC MMP 4600kv I know it might be too much motor in a SCT any more than that is surely overkill.

I put a 10.5 novak in my sc10 and i liked alot. A buddy of mine put a 4600 mamba system in my sc10 when he went to RC Maddness and he liked it in the open class. He said it was even better when he put goose bumps on the rear.
So a 10.5 or poss. 8.5 depending on traction would be good.
