I would like to know about the soil they brought in. What kind of surface are we looking at?

I always wondered how well the little polymer water crystals would be for amending the soil we drive on? They absorb 300% water/size ratio and "hold" it. The crystals can be purchased in large quantities and be added to an outdoor track like this one in order to combat the super hard conditions that the hot Temecula sun can produce.

Normally they are used as a gardening bed amendment, to extend the amount of time between watering your plants. As a Race Track amendment, they could extend the amount of time between waterings as well. Keeping a more consistent track throughout the day.

Comments?

Looks like a new generator was put in next to the meter box and some tables were painted. Nobody there.

As far as the dirt is concerned, it looks like it was scraped up from outside the perimeter outside the fence from a hillside where it looks freshly graded.

When someone brings in a generator of that quality I don't think there is going to be many unanswered questions about soil, track layout, how to run the races etc...I am just going to sit back and get ready. Opening day will be a mosh pit! I'm excited!

Went to Rev today to get my son 4 hours of practice in to relieve some of the itch till ARC opens.
My son was standing right next to Travis Amezcua up on the stand and he sat at the beginning of the back straightaway just so he could race with him and got tangled up with him at the turn at the end of the straight. My son apologized and according to him, Travis said "No problem Little Man!!!
The funny thing is he didn't know who he was till I told him that he was a pro and sponsored racer and it was his job to practice. I got embarrased. Damn kid!!!

That generator is the same one that was at the old track. Its is a nice unit. Same with most of the lights, they were from the old track. If the dirt ends up being anything like what the old track had, it will dialed. The dirt was real nice, held water well, and had real good bite.

Your bound to run into at least one pro during each day of practice at Revalation. Last tuesday, when I was there, Rhonda Skelton and Adam Drake had just finished private practive and stuck around for about an hour after practice opend to the public. Adam is taller than I expected....Rhonda is hot

Track looks good. Hope to run there when its all done!

Default Update 4/27?08

Here you go Marzac. I was taking these pics while you were typing the thread.

Air compressor is in and trenches were dug probably for watering the track around the perimeter.

Hey RColdSkool...

How far are we going to have to drive in order to grab a bite to eat while at the new track? And what options are we going to be faced with (food places/how many)?

About how long will it take the average driver to get to the track from the Winchester FWY exit? 15 minute drive?

Sorry if these Q's were already asked.
