Any thoughts in splitting up 4wd into sportsman/pro? Would probably make a big difference in the mains for the slow guys like me.

I emailed this question to the race promoter, Scotty Ernst, but I haven't received a reply yet. I also talked to the owner of Mike's Hobby Shop and he said "Scotty Ernst needs to make the final decision, but I bet he won't split 4WD into Sportsman/Pro because the format for all the classes was set before the start of the Nationwide Tour. He would want to keep all the classes the same for all the races in the tour."

Oh, that makes complete sense if it's standard for the tour. I was just wondering anyway to be honest.

Although, it does kind of beg the question as to why they didn't think of that to begin with due to the popularity of 4wd SC.

Either way, it will be a blast I'm sure.

Why would they need to split up 4wd SC? Call me old school but I want to race with the "big boys" to see how I stack up. If I'm in the C/D/E main, that's fine.

Here's a video of a SCT 4WD Open race from last Thursday. It gives you a good idea of what the indoor dirt track looks like.

Here's a really good video of the 2nd Qualifier race Short Course 4WD Class. Watch the 3rd lap, the driver does an illegal cut on the track.
