The only problem with RC Speed Sports is the lack of parking.

It's going to be sad to see Indy go. I understand the argument about online parts. I try to buy from Tex 90% of the time. If he doesn't have it I would order online.
I never thought about online sales and kit part sales ($hobbies) hurting the local tracks. I guess it does.
In the future if we get another 1/8 track in Dallas I will be sure to support it.
It's sad to say we are spoiled and it probably won't be an indoor track.
Some of us have talked about it and wouldn't be against the idea of paying some sort of monthly membership fee and pay for club races.
We are hoping that the transition from Indy to a new Dallas track is seamless.
We'll have to wait and see how things pan out.

I also tried to give them my money for parts but when you live a hour away and call them to ask if they have a associated part and get you need to come in and look for it yourself. Well, Id rather by online.

It is for 1/16th, 1/18th, and 1/24th scale cars. Banana sells a line of cars (Dromida, I believe) to be run on the track. However, if you have a Traxxas 16th scale, Associated 18th scale, or any other brand of small scale offroad car (Losi, Kyosho, etc.), bring them out and run them and have a blast!!

Is Indy still closing for sure? Looking at their facebook you get the feeling that although they're going to sell the building that they have plans to relocate and stay in business.

At this point, to secure a spot, build it out and move everything, I cannot see there NOT being a sizable gap in between the old closing and new opening, just a feeling, I have absolutely no information to back that up.
I hate I didn't find this place sooner, it's a ton of fun and the group of guys there are awesome, once they warm up to you a little bit.

Yes the building has been sold, but The track is not closing. The business has been bought by a new owner, tex is staying, and the track will be relocating to a temporary location towards the end of august until construction is complete on a new permeant location.
