Bullet Town Kids/Novice Class Rules 2013

1.The Kids/Novice Class is for the true beginner or young drivers just getting started in the hobby. An age limit of 12 will be the standard but can be adjusted by a Bullet Town Official depending on ability with the maximum age being 14.

2. Vehicles will not be restricted to any one chassis style or brand for this class but will be restricted to 1/10 scale or less in size. NO 1/8 Scale Buggies or Truggies.

3. There will be no motor limits in this class. Electric with up to 2 cell lipo or Nitro are ok.

4. All drivers will turn marshal the Heat/Race after theirs. We will run a 1/10 scale class for you to turn marshal. An adult may help or could be asked to assist each driver as needed.

5. If you are unsure if you should be in this class, ask the Race Director.

Obviously I have been out of the Bullet Town loop for a long time so forgive me in advance for any questions or comments that seem a bit on the ignorant side. LOL
That being said, in my humble opinion, if a stock SCT class is not already in place(meaning 17.5 brushless or equivalent with aftermarket tires) then it should be. From what I can tell so far, the tire rule (therefore the "spec" designation) has been dropped by many tracks across the country and replaced with "stock". Since we will be running a novice class I don't think this will pose a problem and can easily be our modern day stock truck class like many of us ran in stadium truck back in the day. Allowing the correct tire for the racing surface just makes it easier to drive and less frustrating for all participants. Yes it adds a little cost to the program but not much compared to $100 transponders, etc.
Again, I apologize if I've been rambling about something that's already been discussed. Just wanted to throw that out there. Thanks for listening. =)

I'm about ready to get back at it. Are any of you racing anywhere in the next couple weekends?

I got a couple retired racers that are about to get back at it too and we are looking to go somewhere before the Bullet opens up.

What are ya'll running for 10th scale buggy? I'm looking for one that is ready to race. I got a radio.
