ROCCK Racing, Hawk Pit Battle 09/15/2012!!!!

All right, I have received a lot of texts tonight and people are very excited in our area about a trip to the Hawk's Nest on 09/15/2012. Therefore I will make it our official date. I know of about 6 already that our game!!!!! That number will be growing rapidly I am sure!;) A lot of us will be running the North Georgia Nitro Series and a lot of the Georgia and surrounding states have been to our track and good friends with those guys so we will make sure we corral them also and see if we can get as many as we can to head to Middle Tennessee. We look forward to it and Rocck racers please check in. I will be doing some research and I plan on staying the night on Sat. so I will get some hotel info for us!!!!!!! Lets invade the Hawk's Nest and you fools get the pleasure of doing a little country bar-hopping that night with yours truely.......

Thread title rule 101: Always have a date with exclamation marks. It's just not a race without 'em I guess.

All right I will break the news...... I now have a 36 ft. Winnebago Chieftan that might make its maiden voyage to the Hawk's Nest. I just finished installing the satellite and 2 46" LCD's.... It is currently at our lake spot on Tellico Lake being used as a weekend summer house. But I think it will be rolling to the Nashville.

The Hawk Pit Drivers

This is a call for our local drivers to bone up for the Rocck Challenge. I know we have alot of local racers that are good and even better than good. We need your help in fanning off the Rocck Challenge. Beg, borrow or steal a truck and come on out...Get a leg up on the competition by learning the track now...don't just wait. Scott

We have great parking areas for the largest of rv's. Let's line them up...

Wow, I obviously missed a lot today! We have a campground site in Notchy Creek Campground in good ole' Vonore! We have a blast. It has docks and everything so anybody that has a boat and wants to go out and have an rv to rest and relax and take a break come on!!!!! I have a 2000 Yamaha XL 1200 limited with a few Riva racing mods....:) Also have a 2004 Yamaha XLT 1200 perfect for cruising with the wifey, 1999 Polaris 1100 so I have the ski's covered. We love to get on the skis and ride up to Sequoyah Marina (10 mins. away) and hopefully get there early enough to get their bbq before it is gone during the day. Fun time. My Father-In-Law has a Lowe Tahiti 224 deck boat so we can fit about 6-8 on it and have some fun and cruise or ski. We go out about every Sunday and rest and relax for a few hours.

Maybe an end of the year ROCCK party at the camping pavilion area.....

However, my redneck yacht club parties in the cove are pretty legendary....

We are OK with the 15th but we would like to suggest making this a labor day race.

Labor day is Monday September 3rd. We have a professional firework crew that would put on a show if we can do it on this weekend. Maybe a two day race.
Friday/Sat or Sat/Sun.

Is this even an option for you guys? Either way we are going to make this a great event for everyone.

Talk amongst yourselves....

mjealey 07-24-2012 03:37 PM

We all run the North Georgia Summer Nitro Series and it is on the 1st so that is a no go for us. A good solid 20 of us run that series. The 15 th falls right in the middle of the races in that series and will get the best turn out.:)

scwrod 07-24-2012 06:00 PM

Then let's stick to the 15th:). Maybe we should road trip,on the 1st:)

The Summer Nitro Series will be at Dalton RC on 9/01. Without a doubt one of the finest surfaces and track in the whole Southeast. It is a great series and well woth the trip since it is just right outside of Chat. Good turnout for the first series race with I believe 91 I thought I had heard?

Hotels everybody..

E1 Diablo 08-01-2012 03:21 PM

I'll be staying at the Best Western Plus in White House according to Google Maps it's only 1.5 miles away from the track.

Afun 08-02-2012 07:57 AM

I know some wanted to stay on the strip. I just do not know at what time we will finish. I am sure we could have a party at the Best Western. If we finish early, it will be a shame not to hit the strip. I know Mike E. and Jim Bryan are down to party.

Widget doesn't play well in those kind of environments. Bad joo joo, I tend to give bars/vast amount of alcohol and the like a very wide berth. ;)

A beer here and there, sure. A gathering of people that are hammered, no thanks.

Count me out.

I would say this trip needs to be rescheduled because of the make up race at Battlefield. Too Bad I was looking forward to it. Points Series race will have to come first.
