I know a bunch of you all are runnning MBX6's. I have been looking around for a kit that I can actually put together myself. Are all the MBX6's pre-built? I am looking for either a Mugen, Xray, or a Durango. Never built one myself from the floor up.
It looks like Durango is suffering a mass exodus on the DNX408, but the other cars seem to be having issues as well. Looks like a well built product to me.
I have noticed diff flavors on the MBX6 as well. Are they all the same car that comes with diff options, like wheels/tires and the like?
I was also looking at an MP9 tkII just in case Ed McMahon(from the dead) shows up on my doorstep with a check.

Only the M-Spec Mugens are pre-built. So, yes you can get a kit except for the electric version . . .so far it only comes m-spec.

From what I have read, there seems to be a void of available kits right now. Haven't looked for myself, but if what you are looking for is not available wait for a couple of weeks and they should be available again.
Most of us at HH run Mugen or XRay. Both are good vehicles. One word about the XRay - get a 2011 version. The 2010 version had issues with the diff bearings.

With the weather problems in Japan you may only be able to get an M-spec for a little while. If you have never put a kit together as you stated, it wouldn't be a bad idea to get one that is put together, tear it apart to see how it was built and build it back. We usually get a kit, but if I had done that when I first started building kits I could have eliminated some frustration and shortened my learning curve.....We have received the MSpec before when Mugen was out of the kits and they are well put together, we dis-assemble them and put our set up on it and it works fine.
I hope you chose the Mugen, I think you will really like it.

I have some wrench time on 1/8 scale stuff. The RC8 that I have now I tore down and built it up from the chassis. I guess I just wanna break something that I know has never been broken before, .
I have been nosing around on RCtech in the Durango, Mugen, and the Xray forums. And from what little reading I have done the Mugen stuff looks to have the least amount of problems.
It is hard to get a good feel on a product that an enduser has assembled when they might/might not have followed the directions.
I have also looked at the Agama. It also looks like they have done their homework and have stolen/borrowed the best bits of the existing buggy market and have implemented it nicely.
