Bill got to run the D3 some more last night. Went up to a race in WA. I did get TQ, and the in main, did my usual screw-ups, but would catch right back to the leader and follow and did not want to take anyone out. Any way had a lot of fun. Motor was about .2 faster than what I had before. Might go back next weekend and play with gearing more as i think there is still more oppertunity with this motor.

So where did you end up with gearing and which sct? The Duo 3s are finally hitting the Northeast this week, need to make sure the Team Drivers up this way are stupid fast for the upcoming Grand Prix at RCHR in Waterbury. Last year had 145 entries with the fastest racers in the Northeast all there. This year looks to be even bigger. We usually go about 6 mains deep in 17.5 sct, 5 or 6 2wd buggy and stadium truck, and should be at least 6 deep In the 4wd class. Even the one and only "Hill-Billy" will be in attendance this year! Just need to make sure he can handle turning right as well as he turns left
We'll be pretty well represented this year with Bill, Me, and about 5 other FTM Team Drivers spread throughout all the classes.

Pics coming from this weekend, batts you sent Boo i got to try again and just awesome. Ran both my 10.5 duo3 motors in both classes and they were excellent, very good motor/batt combo.. My mod 2 wheel was unreal and my mod 4x4 was unapproachable all day till the hackfest, but the lap time say it all in that main that truck was awesome.
I thought you were coming it was a big race and off road. Time to bring that buggy out and shake the rust off, alot of rust.... Lol. Ahh bumps is pretty dead between points races if you wanna practice at mimis its a good place to get your timing down.

I'm gearing it 23/83 in a highly modded Slash with the Mamba Max Pro. The timing is set on the motor at what Bill sent it to me at. The speedo has 35 degrees of cheat timing on an rpm range setting 2700 to 9200 rpm. Also running 23% drag brake, punch control disabled, start power on high with no reverse.

My Slash is heavier than the other SCT trucks but has plenty of rip and temps at right at 150 after a 10 minute main. For the 6 minute heat races I'm at 128 degrees.

Had 2nd fastest lap times out of 14 Pro SCT trucks. The only one is faster is a buddy that has the Kyosho Ultima SC-R and is at least 10oz lighter than me but he isn't a ton faster in laptimes.

Default back in the game

i'm real glad to be back on the Full Throttle squad after a couple of years of being away. The coast is clear now that the fat man is out of the picture for good. Congrats to Bill for landing on his feet and for keeping the name and the company alive. The least I can do for my ole buddy Bill is to try and support his efforts. It's feels good to be home. Now it's time to pull the trigger and to feel that Full Throttle rip again.

hey Bill, new D3 motors are working awesome. Did some racing yesterday up north in WA. Was able to set TQ in the the 3rd round with a STRONG consistant run. Took off in the main with everyone else having problems with traffice, I just put it in cruise control and took the win. D3 Motor ROCKS. I will be giving you call for another and in need of a battery also.
