Hey Bill. That 1/12th scale is just a conversion kit for a 12L4 I thought it was a complete kit. Here is what his website says you need to complete it:

Here are a some items you would need to get to make this conversion complete:
* Associated 12L4 front end components or comparable
* Associated 12L4 steering turnbuckles and ball cups
* Associated 12L4 ball ends and some screws (kit comes with the ones you wont have)
* Associated 12L4 front and rear body mounts
* Associated 12L4 rollover antenna
* Associated 1" turnbuckles x2, and 4 shock bottom balls w/eyelets to make your side links
* Kimbrough Servo saver for 1.12 scale and spur gear
* Associated or CRC VCS shock for 1/12 scale
* Associated or CRC Rear axle with clamping hub for 3 bolt tires (any will work)
* Associated or CRC Rear motor mount plates (CRC preferred)

If it's a complet car thats awesome. If it's a conversion kit I will just stick with the AE car for my first year.

Bob, your not alone, im thinking about a 1/12th for christmas... l4 of couse. Now we will both have T2's and L4's. .Where do you plan on racing this winter? Pottbellys gets a good turn out for 1/12th. thats most likely where will be.

Bill, just like the Hara car or IRS car, It's just a chassis. Everything on the car is Ass 12L4. Seem a bit pricey considering the Hara is only 109 but I haven't seen what this comes with.

I run the RugRat which is a 12L3/L4 conversion as well....Not the cheapest conversion out there, but one heck of a car

Bill more than likely you will need a Associated or CRC front end and rear end plus the diggity kit, so basically you buy a L3 or L4 and then also buy the Diggity kit with it.

I don't know what I was thinking about anyway. BMI makes a kit ::::headslap:::: If I buy a conversion...that's the way I'm going. But, like I said. L4 for the first year because I wouldnt benefit from a "luxury" 1/12th scale at this point.

Ryan, Horsham baby!!!! not to knock Pottbelly's, but Horsham is where you need to be during the winter if you wanna get better. The competition there is pretty fierce. I know that last week, in the middle of JULY, they had 3 heats of touring car LOL. They will probably roll 70-80 deep at the peak part of the season. I know thats where me, Ivy, and Fred will be. Hopefully we will see you there as well.

Cool, I sent him a PM introducing myself and basically asked if this is a stand alone kit that is coming out.

How are those 4200's looking

My stock L4 works great. I've been thinking about a conversion kit for it. I have been looking at the BMI one. Now it depends what the D12 is.
My plan for this years carpet season is to run 12th scale at all club racing and run sedan and 12th scale at big races. After August 19th, I will be at Mimi's running 12th scale during the week and then 2 to 3 Saturday's a month.

Not to start a war or anything...but who wants to compete in that kind of environment week-in and week-out?? There's one thing to compete with lots of talent and another to compete at such a level where it burns you out...

For some people all they need is track time (and I honestly think Ryan is one of them) in order to compete with the "big dogs"...Track time is important, competition shows you where you stand in the whole scheme of things

but that's just my .02

No wars here. Your right. Drew runs an awesome show and 1/12th scale there is pretty cool as well. For me, Horsham is closer and it is much bigger. Also the wife doesn't mind going there because they have wireless internet setup and she can play online all day.
