Hey guys, I'm looking for something to power a lathe. Does anyone have a charger or motor machine they want to get rid of?

Hey Bill,

Should I cycle the batteries I just got from you before I race them Friday? I already trayed them and charged at 5 amps. Didn't know if I should discharge and tray one more time, or just re-peak them at the track Friday night.

well they should be charged a 6 amps will work the best with out over heating them if you cycle them once and you have a charge in them
then yes put them on a tray and them charge them up when you are racing. repeak if you have to . after you run them make sure you leve 500 hv to 1000 charge in them
on the site we have the best way to do batts care

but discharge them now on the tray and leve some volts in them like i sayed 200 seconds to 500

You know I have been doing soem thinking on these SHV cells. I do have a pack and the numbers are monsters. I do notice on the trtack my brushless motors will thermal sooner with the SHV than my other 4200's. I have been reading that motors are burning up and esc's with these new cells. We may be going into overkill at least in TC with high voltage cells. For the first 3 min the car is ballistic then the heat comes and we kill our stuff.

Interesting topic. What do you guys think?

I still want SHV's to kill my stuff though

SHV's will definitely change the way you have to gear and drive your car. They are way more power than any of us are used to. I think now everyone should start thinking of ways to add multiple fans to their cars.
