Ahahah is not laughing, but realizing that I was not discharging my packs far enough, down to 3.4v per cell, and that was more good info for me to better discharge my packs, and cycle them properly. I was not laughing at anybody here, just finding out my lipo care program was a bit lacking. No need to get upset at me here buddy: I am always positive about learning new info to get me out of the Cmains or Bmains...No need to be on the edge when I comment. The list of guys trying to get better is very long, and rctech is the only real info sharing site around: I am not here for negativity even when I don't elaborate on my comments....Cheers...

I'd love to hear how you plane travel with your gear, especially overseas to ETS. I'm looking at going to Apeldoorn NL next year. Worries me about traveling internationally with this stuff. I know of some people that air travel with 1/8th scale buggies, which are so much more durable. Maybe you can throw together a video one day. |

We usually use Ogio bags with corrugated plastic boxes inside to hold our stuff. My son Kemp Anderson actually made an article for 1up last year about our travel and how we pack. I think Randy may have shared that to the 1up facebook page for people to see. Let me know if you cant find it and we are packing next week for a trip to Texas and can take more pics of that process. Thanks! EA |

Its actually very easy to pack for a plane trip. Just aways carry your car, radio and batteries in your carry on so they dont get damaged and batteries are required to be packed this way.

Thanks Eric!
I'll check out Kemp's article. I never really thought about just carrying on the expensive stuff. Just dont carry on any electronics such as charger, power supplies or tire truer/sander. They get picky about "Power tools" as some have called them at TSA! EA |
For the 99 percentile of club racing and general events in the US. Do tracks like Apex go on the IFMAR rule book or ROAR rule book? Mainly pertaining to motor requirements in the 21.5T class. Motors in 2025 are a mind field of confusion. Or maybe it's the rules have really parted from one and another so much that you can't have a ROAR and IFMAR approved motor in one and it be truly competitive for each class. Plus the more recent changes to ROAR rules what is even approved anymore. I can type in IFMAR approved 21.5T motor and get a slew of great options from brands from here to the moon, likewise the results back when searching for ROAR 2025 approved motors is quite the opposite.
Lets just say if I was to get a 21.5T motor to run at Apex what are the options I look at? |

You only look at rules for the country you are racing in unless its a WORLDs event. Then you look at ifmar. So for APEX we use roar rules. The new ROAR 2025 motor rules dont take affect until Sept 1 of this year. So you wont see motors published until that time. Once those are legal all others will remain legal until Dec 31 2026.
