Q for you on IB cells (i posted this on the SMC4200 thread as well, trying to get as many opions as poss)
There seems to be some contention over here in the UK over the IB's.
Someone on another forum was commenting that the elegibility officer was concerned over the IB's supposedly expanding under charge.
My question is this, have you experienced this with any of your cells?
Apparently the 38's will be fine, it's the 42's that (a few) people are concerned over... I personally see no reason why the 42's, if they are the same size as the 38's, would not be legal, especially if the 38's are approved.
And surely this works in reverse, if 42's aren't legal, then 38's shouldn't be either?
It all smells a little fishy to me... but we'll find out in a few days when the BRCA approval list is published.

Actually ALL cells expand during their zapp and first/second cycle. But its not buy much. .5mm at MOST. I have not had any 4200's in my hands but I have been told they are the exact same size as a 3800 but one end of the cell looks a little differnt so you can look at them and make sure someone hasnt put a 4200 in a 3800 shrink...LOL
I think that all the cells should be legal. They need to follow suit with everyone else so matchers dont end up matching 4 differnt cells for differnt countries.
What about the IP cell? Has anyone submitted them there yet?

Ed,
The IP cell is a 3800mAH cell also. You can find more info at www.infinite-power.net They are the same diamter as an IB cell and slightly longer. The expand on the larger side of .5mm during cycle I am told. They are Roar and Ifmar legal though.

You all get in line...Im waiting on my new board from Tres!!
Also I got new shirts....Med-XXL. These are beter quality (same person that done my logo and shirts for Hyperdrive, Putnam, Pole position, True speed, Hyperdrive, KSG, etc. They are sweet....There is a very BAD pic of them on my site....looks better when you click on it though!!
Should have more motors in about 2 weeks. Batteries will be here when I get back from the Novak race.
