Actually... the Trinity C2 is not legal either because it was never submitted to ROAR for approval. It's pretty confusing in 19T but the general rule I have seen used most often is that motors be 19t of single wire, machine wound, locked timing. Some races also pick a specific list of motors they will allow.
We just had ROAR regionals here in Omaha, NE and the Atlas, C2, Reedy, Orion 19t variations were all allowed.

Hehe... I know the feeling.
BTW... the "F" brushes have been working great in my Surge and EA motors. Good job on that project.

ROAR needs to clarify the 19t legality issues. It doesn't really matter to me, but it is a little cheesy how it's "touch and go" when you should up at a track with a motor not knowing if your going to be allowed to run it or not.

I can find no 19T approved motor list on ROAR's Website. I read the rules regarding the specifications of a Spec-19T motor. The Atlas does meet those requirements.

If that is the case then the Reedy is not legal because it does not have the special bevel at the end of the armature shaft. I think it also uses a wrap that is not legal but I'm not sure on that one. However, most 19t race events will allow it.
Gary, Mike, why don't you contact the race director for carpet nationals and see what he/she says. Then post back here.

We had a discussion on the Nats thread in the Racing Forum. Raffaelli (Regional Director) said the motor was okay and to send the request up to David Lee. We'll see...
