Hey, all. Good to hear from yas.
L. Fairtrace/Larry - DC went really well on Saturday. Obviously, Cuffs was fast, but so were we, Keith, Scooby and JCB. I was really happy with how our cars and HP are shaping up each week. They had down to E main this past week. Qualifying was like this:
1. Keith Koway 31/5:00 or 32/5:10 - not sure which
2. Jeff Cuffs 31/5:02
3. Juan Carlos Buenano 31/5:03
4. Scooby 31/5:05
5. Me 31/5:06
6. Tag - 31/5:09
Car was amazing in practice. Tag can tell you I was turning 9.2-9.3s with ease. I felt like a 9.0 was in there in practice, but I was just so shocked at how fast the car was I kinda wasn't pushing it.
Once the track started getting tight and goopy, my car subsequently got tight. This time I remedied it properly and my car was very good in the third round. Tag's was also very good. I ended up finishing fourth.
Anyway, we're still working on a lot of little things now to keep getting more power out of the motors near the end of the run.
Cuffs' new Corally was dialed. The car transitioned super, super quick through the chicane. Very different looking from an XRAY or any other touring for that matter. Not necessarily better but different. Ya know, the XRAY has a 'floatiness' in the corners...there's just no mistaking one. By floatiness I mean like it glides on the track. The Corally looks like it bites in hard and very aggressively. Very cool.
Only two of our guys were at the Novak: Brian Lutz and Lee Passehl. I believe Brian qualified 7th in the B in stock touring and finished 4th. Lee qualified 7th(?) in the A in stock touring rubber and finished 7th I believe. (Lee can correct me if I'm wrong.) All in all a good weekend.
I'm excited for the guys going out to CRC. You guys ready for that one?

Hey Jon, sent you a PM, can you call me.
I went to Mimis in Gaithersberg sat to do some runs. Ended Qualifing 2nd behind Craig X. Finished 4th after getting wreck on start. But getting a good setup for there, will properly run again this weekend there also.

Jon, left you voice mail, please call me when you can get to it.
Team Surge dominates the Superior Hobbies January race! Mike Dobbs lays the hammer down and wins the 19 turn class and I tq'd and won the expert stock class. Two Surge drivers at the track.....both ended up winning.

710baby - I'll definitely give you a ring.
rcracingkid - Awesome run for ya, Mikey. You're becoming quite the master at mod.
ASM - Scott, I'll try and give you a ring tomorrow.
Guys, I may be looking to go to Madness on Saturday for the Jam. I thought it was a mandatory two-day event where qualifying was one day and the mains were another. Couldn't swing an all-weekend deal.
Also, working feverishly on some new cases. All you guys who are waiting on cells for the Birds, you'll be getting yours soon.

Great job at the Novak race guys. Jon looks like you guys are representing well over at DC. I know Larry and TK are going to show em how Surge gets dirty! Wish I could be there with you guys. On a good note (finally for me) The Future mother in law is in great shape. She should be able to come home in a few days and things can start to get back to normal.
I just wanted to thank everyone for thier kind words and support. Alot of you guys have offered to help me in many different ways, and its appreciated by me and my family.
Oh and in case anyone didnt notice......damn that JrXs has been looking better every day .
