Team fantom racing

I bought the fantom v2 25.5 part number 19476W. The box says it comes with 12.3 mm rotor but in the box there is a facts sticker indicating the rotor diameter is 12.51 mm. How can I which tell which rotor was supposed to be included? Of course I can measure the rotor to see what I have but vta specs require 12.3 mm rotor so would like to know if I should make a return claim or if I misunderstood what I was buying (once I figure out what rotor I have).

This past weekend I ran at the US Indoor Champs, in Cleveland Ohio. Against some of the fastest guys in the country. I ran touring stock(17.5) there. Looking at the roster, and know that I was going to have team support there was a fantastic relief(not that there is normally not support). Having a fair amount of drivers there we were able to lock down a gearing/timing for touring car rather quickly(because of the amount of people that were able to test). We ended up running on that track a 3.96 at 53 degress of actual timing, with the new 12.5 rotors(the ones with the longer material, that the v3 come with). It was also a nice surprise to see Troy there. He was extremely helpful, and many times stayed up later than the team did. I was able to qualify 1st in the D main(9 seconds off of an a main run), and also win the D main, with my Gizmo GZ2A. I cannot wait to attend snowbirds this year, with the fantastic power package!

Do you have an idea how your rollout compared to other motor brands? Just curious if it follows what I'm seeing with my V3T 13.5 compared to my "other" new motors.

Good job on the 25.5 motor for F1 Fantom. I TQed and Won the F1 class at Stock Wars with the FR-1. I did also try an R1 but it was a tick slower.
I am curious what others are timing and gearing their 25.5 motors for F1 at. I ended up with 39 degrees 92/32. The track I think is 80x36

What would be a good start regarding gearing and timing on a V2R 13.5 motor, indoor touring on small-medium carpet track?

Which rotor does this have in it? Does it have the aluminum bits, as well?

I believe the one gentleman and I ran it at 42 degrees( on a motolyser) at a 75mm roll out. That should at least get you close, if you have a 12.3mm rotor this will change things drastically. Beyond that other things are dependent on the roll out are your driving and the track layout. See how that works for you, and let me know if you need anything else. Be sure to check temps after 3, 6, and 8 minutes. Ideally you want the motor to come off at 130 degs

[QUOTE=f1larry;15121252]New 25.5 FR-1 V3 team edition with 12.3 mm HT PRO Select Rotor, looking for good starting point for gearing and timing for F1 on 42x80 CRC black carpet.
