Thumbs up Team Hurricane Motorsports

I started this thread for anyone who has any questions about any of the products that Hurricane has to offer.

The batteries they offer are some of the best around. The prices for the quality of cells you get is very hard to beat.

There is also a "Satchel of Cells" which is 3 packs or 18 loose cells of 1.150 to 1.159 voltage...at a low price...this is great for just getting started or practice packs.

They also offer what I think is "THE" stock brush its there "GOLD" brush. I have yet to find a brush that runs as good as this one does in a sedan.

If you have any questions or comments please leave them here and any of the team drivers along with Brad Johnson the owner will stop by and help you out.

The website is www.teamhurricane.net you can place orders there aswel

Does Hurricane have a 50 pair bulk pack? 100 pairs is kind of too much for me. How is the wear on the comm with the "Gold" brush?

I personally have to agree with Kevin that the Gold brushes are THE brush to run in stock. The comm wear is actually quite good. You can get anywhere from 2-4 good runs before a rebuild, my experience anyway.

Steve...that would all depend on how many pairs of brushes you were looking for and where they where going. Your best bet is to Email them through the website or give them a call with all that info so they can give you the correct amount.

Hi,

are the "gold" brushes for laydown-type motors only or is there a version for stand-up motors, too?

Thanks,
IH

IH....the Gold brushes are only for laydown at this time I dont know if they will offer them in stand up later or not I will check and get back to you on that.

Nexus....they did have motors at one time but not anymore.....they are in connection with Paradigm so they handle the motor part. But they do offer brushes and rebuild parts for stock and mod motors just not full motors anymore.

Racer....Yes the main focus of Hurricane right now is battery matching. And yes these are the same cells being offered on the Paradigm web page.....Hurricane and Paradigm have a relationship because hurricane does not do full blown motors any more and paradigm does not do batteries so they work with each other....but are not the same company.

James - The Blue Thunder Comm Drops (HMSBTCD) are strictly for breaking brushes in. Whereas the Red Lightning Comm Drops (HMSRLCD) are for stock motors and we actually put a drop of them on the commutator before we set the car on the track and after we have fully broken in and seated the brushes.
