I tried a couple of sets of gold brushes in my monster stock and they both lasted one run. I tried purple red springs the first run and red green the second. They werent burnt or got hot they were just gone. The com was fine slight cut cleaned it right up. What did I do wrong was it all gear do I have to adjust it to compensate. I put some trusty 767's back in and they barely wore at all. What did I do? They were fash as HeII for about 3 minutes.

Speedie,

I know when I use them I get at least two good runs on the serrations. I know, they are not that deep. You should try putting some Hurricane Blue Thunder drops on during break in. I think they last longer with those in there. Try red/red for springs.

And yes, they are very fast!

Will resarrating them give back the power?

Not sure, never have reserrated them because they have a unique serration.

Speedie....Like Brian said you should be getting at least 2 or 4 good runs on the brushes. The only time that I experienced what you are talking about is when I run too heavy of springs and over gear my car. I normally on a monster run a red green combo. Also try some Hurricane RED com drops between runs it helps prolong brush life. I usually run the same set of brushes all race day just cut the com every other run....as long as the brushes are not discolored they are still good even with the serrations worn down. IMO the brushes feel faster on the second run with a fresh com cut.

I Was pretty sure it was a gearing ishue I run them hot. Not hot enough to burn em but right on the edge. I Shoot for 150 to 175 for a motor temp after a race.
