Default In Comparison

I have 2 Fuku 3300's that peak at about 8.90 and only get up to temp in the last 2 minutes of Charging.I was wondering if its because of such low impedence/IR?These Batts are punchy as hell and I love them but was wondering if my voltage threshhold is high enough? What should it be per cell/pack?TANKS!

I just cycled my packs today.. SO far so good. all are 1.17+ with 405+ runtime. Charged them at 6 amps with 30 amp discharge. All packs peaked at about 8.93-8.95 volts. runtime was around 415seconds for all three packs. Most charged with 3450, 3476 and 3512 mah

I use an .03 peak for pack, thats 5 mv per cell. 30 mv for pack.

Basically, that's about right and you shouldn't worry too much about your voltage threshold simply because the numbers you said looks good. The cells should heat up little by little until the very last few minutes. It's also the nature of nimh. You can use a temp prop and temp the packs during a charge. Initial first 5 minutes should be your ambient temperature, and gradually going up from 110f, 115f up until around 140~155f. Anything below the 140f means the peak detect is set too low, anything above 155f means the peak is set too high. Within 140f~155f is ideal. Hope this helps.

And to add to Jimmy's notes. The lower your battery peaks out the better. The lower that peak is the lower the internal resistance of the pack. 8.90 is a bad mofo

It tested my first pack. The cells were marked 1.163 to 1.165 404 sec. Charged em up, repeak in 2 minutes and discharged them at 20 That is TWENTY amps and got 1.192 v/cell, 620 seconds. This is about right, usually I can add .04v and 50% seconds to factory 30 amp #s. This is the first cycle so I am sure they will only get better. I have 2 more packs to build.

Great Service and thanks for the extra surprise with the 2 $29 packs

Default more fukuyama racing...

jimmy.

the 2nd weekend racing your cells was great. the batteries seemed more alive the second time around. i qualifed 3rd in the A Main Stock Rubber TC using 1.15s and a 1.16.

that's was great considering everyone in the A Main was running atleast 1.17s from other manufacturers.

i'll probably pick up some higher cells soon.

thanks.

anthony - email me if you need any more banner help.
