No problem Casper. RPS is running a little behind, but I talked to Nick, and he said Tacoma Chris got things worked out, and they're back on track.

We have Puller, Curtis May, and Felles there!
Good luck guys!!!!!!!

Killer89: I haven't a clue what you just said!
You must remember, I know NOTHING about the "g" racing.
Can you explain that bumping?? The "odd" thing??
Thanks,
Judi
Scott isn't here, so I can't ask him!!

Basically, instead of A,B,C, etc mains, they ran a format where the top 10 qualify for the Final automatically. Then they would have 4 more bump up.
Each race consisted of 14 drivers, 12 qualifying, 2 bump ups.
The "mains" were set up such that there were 2 semifinals, or 1/2 mains. These consisted of the drivers who qualified 11-34, plus the 2 bump ups per main (or half). Thus, because there were 2 semifinals, odd and even, there were also 2 quarterfinals (1/4), odd and even. It goes on and on in this order: final, 1/2, 1/4, 1/8, 1/16, 1/32, 1/64, 1/128, 1/256, etc... 2 of each (odd and even), except for the final. If you were one of the 2 bump ups, you would bump into the same half of the next highest level. example: you won 1/256 odd, you bump to 1/128 odd.
This allows people who don't qualify well but are good drivers to bump up quickly. For example, at the nats, it went all the way down to 1/1024. If Drake hadn't qualified all weekend and needed to bump to the final, he would only have to bump 10 times. Whereas in a normal style, he would have to bump 20 times... This was a BIG race

Breaking News. Tomorrow I'm going to have a new computer built. They're going to build it with XP instead of Vista. From what I understand, Vista uses a lot of memory, plus I think I can load my software on XP without any problems.

Casper even made me a "cheat" sheet with the qual
points explained on it. I'm supposed to take it to every race.
Still don't get it, so I make Casper
and Scott explain it to me at EVERY race!!
Now the computer. This is a really sad day!
Scott says he's taking this computer out back and shoot
it with a 12 gauge! I still run Microsoft '98, I have my
original all numbers email address, 10 years about, and I still have
Compuserve 4.0, and this Hal is so old it doesn't have a
connection for DSL. The computer guy says the hard-drive is
getting ready to go because of some nasty note "Hal" keeps
sending me on a black screen. BUT, I always manage to "revive"
Hal!!!!!!!!!
So, in the next few days, I'll have a new computer.
Bitter pill to swallow!!!!!

Hey Judi,
How are you guys doing? Wow, a new computer. Sounds like you are moving into the new century. I used to have compuserv a long time ago.
Work has been keeping me so busy I haven't even had time to keep up with all my RC friends. Right now I am writing this email from Jining China. Yep, I'm half way around the world. Darn job. The way I have it figured by the end of the year, I'll be in China twice and Germany twice. It's a good thing that I don't mind the travel too much. But, I gotta say that the German food is better than the Chinese food.
You guys take care and try and enjoy the new computer.
