Hi, I have a G11 PRO, I am having problems with the batts dumping after 4 min. I need to set the LIM to 40% anything higher will surely drain my batts. I run an 8x1 Ti3 Motor (new), Promatch IB3800 (new), my gearing is correct and I cannot make 5 min unless I set it at 40% on the LIM. What is causing this? As soon as I switch to another ESC, I don't dump at all, I even make more than 5min. Is there something wrong with my ESC? My setting on the throttle freqs are at 11+khz. Please help. Thanks.

Hey the tekin g-11 will give that motor all the power it ask's for. check your lap times and speed, they are probably faster than with the other speed control.
You might also want to bump up the drive freq. for that mod of a motor.
I run a 10x1 and 10x5 and normally have at least 1-1/2 min left. I noticed that I geared down a tooth from my cyclone esc and increased the speed quite a bit.
Let us know.

Sorry guys ... just realized this thread was here. I will catch up on whats here and stay on it from here as time permits.
FBJ is the speedo hot? That power has to go somewhere either motion, torque or heat. Should not see more than about 160 to 170F on the fets.

Without knowing him or his driving ability I would guess that at lower limitations he is over driving the car probably not smooth or in his line. take that motor out and put in a 12 turn, turn the limiter off and stay smooth and you will go faster. Remember that not everyone can run 7 and 8 turns and do well with them. You made run time with your other speed controll because you probably ran a different drive freq and had a lot less snap. Tekin's have been known for their punch for years.

hey Tekin guys.. some quick questions just for clarification.
on the Tekin tray:
1a. the tray will equalize my pack at 0.7v per cell as soon as all the lights go out right?
1b. what if the lights on 1 or 2 cells turn off first? does this mean it'll be less than 0.7v while the others are discharging down to 0.7v?
2a. if i leave it on there longer than "x" amount of mins.. it'll eventually drop to 0.5v per cell correct?
2b. it will stay at 0.5v for as long as i leave the battery on the tray?
thanks for all the help!

1b. All cells will equally be discharged no matter what order the lights go out.
2a. Correct
2b. Correct

Bob: Yep, maybe it's my driving style. I don't have a 12Turn motor but I can try drving smoother. Thanks for the tip.

On the tray there is not a "digital hold" anywhere. The cells with leds out are below the threshold of the led. Below this voltage the discharge is slower... a lot slower... and everybody equalizes and slowly heads towards .5v per cell.
Still concerned on the run time. Is the motor hotter when dumping in 4min? 2 plus minutes of missing juice is going somewhere... thats a bunch. The only way we can dump that quick is to over gear a low wind???? like 6x1 and the motor and speedo get really hot. We just pass the power... we do not eat it. How is the coast in nuetral and brake strength?

how much timing do you have in the motor? I'm assuming that you are running mod touring
