Default November 5th Club Race @ Tamiya - Expert Stock Sedan Class ideas

OK so I know that RC in general has been plagued by too many classes diluting the races lately, with some very unexciting 3-4 car heats happening at times. I do realize that multiple classes are necessary to properly divide skill and equipment level, but I'd like to take an informal poll to see what you the racers think as it applies to our upcoming open make club race(s) at the Tamiya track on November 5th.

I've gotten several classes down, namely:

The TCS Staples:
mini (silver can)
F-1 rubber (silver can + 21.5)
FF-03 (silver can + 21.5)
GT2 (silver can tub sedan - intermediate/rookie)

...along with MOD, Sportsman 17.5 blinky sedan

We'll also offer (if there is demand):
4WD mini
(maybe others)

The main point of this thread though is for the EXPERTS. We should only run ONE of these to avoid diluting the Expert stock class. Here are the class ideas we've gotten so far:

17.5 blinky (a la WCRC)
17.5 open ESC (old school speed, but popular and missed by many)
13.5 blinky (a la Roadrunners)

Of the three, which would YOU like to run? Express your opinion below!

I'm not an expert but I would say either 17.5 blinky or 17.5 open. 17.5 blinky will be simpler as that is what most other tracks run so you do not have to change spur gears and reprogram the esc (aka - be lazy). However, Tamiya is a big enough track and the curbs are friendly so I would actually prefer 17.5 open.

I'll be there. 17.5 Open ESC would be fun there.

I take that as a vote for 17.5 or 13.5 blinky

That would pretty much be 17.5 blinky sportsman or expert (I think you are the latter)

Hey Albert,
I vote for 17.5 blinky for expert stock and will definitely try and make this race!

I have no preference, personally. 17.5 blinky has been consistently strong and competitive in the area the past few months; it seems like the logical choice for Expert Stock.

I personally don't mind open and blinky 17.5 since I can run both. But I think it is best to run the class that can gather the most racers. So, I would say blinky 17.5.

Can non-Tamiya front wheel sedan run in the "FF03" class?

I like to have the option to run 4wd mini......

I want to run non-tamiya cars on tamiya track....

I agree with 17.5 blinky. Second choice would be 13.5 blinky.
