Just went to Swan Hobby today and found that due to them having some " white business " in the family , it is closed currently and will open only on 4 june ( if i'm not wrong ) . Please take note to avoid a wasted trip .

Thanks for the heads up. Was actually thinking of going over to get a replacement part.

Actually i went there for that purpose too . one of my middle diff gears is chipped and causing the gears to jam . My hyper TT is still opened up pending for parts . Any idea other then Swan model , who else carry part support for Hobao Hyper TT ?

And sorry its Swan Model instead of Swan hobby hehe .

A jammed gear? How did that happened?

Mine is pretty opened up too. Ha!

Wow , you go for full upgrade huh . Yours is standby for inspection standard , while mine is open up for hiding under the bed standard lol .

Well back to your question ... i have no idea too , i was bashing it happily at the football field next to the jurong east mosque when suddenly it did an " emergency brake " when i release the throttle . Upon inspection , the middle diff was very stiff . The entire truck couldn't move freely . I tested front n back wheel pair by pair was ok although feels abit stiff but if i try to make all 4 wheel move together , it just lock up totally . If you give it some throttle , it will move but will give a funny and " unhealthy " sound .

Few day later , i open it up and found one of the big gear inside the diff gear housing had a chip off . I tried putting it back after replacing the diff oil but still jam up totally when i try to tighten all 4 screw for the diff gear housing . I actually realise that i forgot to put back the seal for the diff gear housing but i thought since i had to replace the gear so might as well wait for the part replacement then assemble it back fully . Hope nothing else spoil though .

That's quite a bash to damage the large bevel gear. 3S on grass? What was the pinion you've used?

Something suspicious is brewing at Segar!

wah. another track?

twe75 05-29-2013 08:28 PM

Yeah 3s lipo with 13t pinion and stock spur gear already . I didn't do any jump at all that day other then the occasional " crater " in the footballfield that i did try to avoid the best i can .

Hmm i thought the segar field is under the local CC control ? Sure hope they are trying to make another one instead of removing it .

Guys , i've already changed the bevel gear for my hyper tt middle diff described above but it still jam up when i try to move it manually on 4 wheels . What else can be the problem ? Anyone else encounter it before ?
