garfield....yes there will be jumps just like the one in the tamiya worlds last year.

Ok Thanks, means i will have to set a max height, i was still thinking of setting the car lower by adding spacers when assembling the shocks.

RULES ARE OUT!!!!!!

TAMIYA ASIA CUP (SINGAPORE) QUALIFYING CHAMPIONSHIP 2005

GENERAL INFORMATION

1) Race venue – TRACK RACE CRAFT INFINITY

2) Race dates – 13 MARCH , 10 APRIL , 08 MAY , 12 JUNE , 10 JULY

3) Overall results will be based on best four (4) out of five (5) races
The final race(10 Jul) will be the deciding fourth result.

4) Top Three (3) drivers for each class qualifies automatically for the 8th Tamiya Asia Cup Finals to be held in August in Singapore.
Remaining two (2) drivers will be chosen based on the following criteria(s):
- driver’s attitude/sportsmanship
- attendance
- driving skills

5) TAC 2004 consists of 5 classes which are :-
- STOCK TOURING (TICKET TO JAPAN)
- 4WD GT (TICKET TO JAPAN)
- BUGGY (TICKET TO JAPAN)
- EXPERT (RIGHTS TO JAPAN)
- M CHASSIS

6) Entry to each class will be on first come first serve basis.

7) Participants are required to register at STARGEK PRIVATE LIMITED , Paya Lebar Road ,
#01-03 , or at RACE CRAFT INFINITY , No. 60 Jalan Penjara

8) Participants are encouraged to join only one class, although there’s no restrictions to numbers of classes join.

9) Entry fee per class - $25-00
Two classes - $40-00
Three classes - $55-00

10) Payment and frequencies must be given not later by Thursday race week.
No collection of fee on race day.
11) A 10 point system will be in use in this year qualifying.Top qualifier will be given
an extra 2 points.

12) Trophies will be given out to the top 3 drivers of each class every race.

13) Race results will be posted at RACE CRAFT INFINITY and STARGEK the following Wed.

RACE REGULATIONS
General

1. All cars have to be built using only original Tamiya parts and strictly following the
Instructions provided with those parts.

2. All parts must be used as supplied in the package and/or cut as outlined.
Modifications of the original appearance of the car, are not allowed.In Stock class
4wd GT class, Expert class and M class, tires and wheels have to stay within the
Body shell.

3. Radio crystal must be replaceable.Each driver has to prepare two different crystals.

4. Only Tamiya motors can be used.In Stock class, Mabuchi/johnson motor to be used
In Buggy class , sports tuned motor to be used.In 4wd GT class, only up to Tamiya
23turn motors to be used.In M class, only sports tuned motor to be used.In Expert
Class, any Tamiya motor can be used.
For details, please refer to each category’s regulations.

5. Any brands of stick pack batteries can used in the 4wd GT, M , Buggy classes.
For Expert class, any brands of saddle pack batteries can be used.
For Stock class, only Tamiya 1400sp batteries are allowed.

6. Any types of electronic speed control can be used for 4wd GT, M, Buggy and
Expert classes.
For Stock class, please refer to its regulations.

7. Each qualifying race will be 5 minutes plus the time to complete the last lap.

8. Only modifications outlined in the regulations are allowed.

9. Any other issues not clarified in the regulations shall be handled at the discretion of the
Race organizer.

CAR REGULATIONS (STOCK TOURING CLASS)

1. Cars eligible for qualification are TL01, TL01LA and TT01 chassis.(for local)
As for Tamiya Asia Cup 2005, only TT01 is allowed.

2. Only Mabuchi/Johnson silver can 540 motor #53689 to be used.
1400SP Tamiya battery to be used only.

3. A 3 step mechanical speed controller, CPR01 included in XB2 and TEU-101BK
#45029 are permitted to be used in this class.


4. Tamiya original tires #50419 Radial tire , #50454 Slick tire and #50810 Semi slick
tire can be used only in this class.


5. Any Tamiya Hop-Up Option and spare part is allowed as long as it is used in the
way it designed, and on the vehicle it was designed for.


6. All Tamiya car bodies must be painted.


7. Any attempt to modify or to influence the ability of the motor is not allowed.
No modifications to the motor connectors are allowed.


8. Minimum weight of car ready to run is to be 1,500g.


9. Clearance under main chassis parts must exceed 5mm before the race.

1. Cars eligible for qualification are M03 and M04 chassis series only.


2. Only Sport Tuned Motor #53068 is permitted to be used in this class.

3. Battery wires can be modified at the bottom of connecter to accept other types
of speed controller connecters.Wire length must exceed 3cm.

4. Car does not have to retain original wheel drive concept.Drivers can choose either
FWD or RWD configurations, regardless of car body. However, no 4WD of twin
Motor configuration will be allowed.

5. Any Tamiya Hop-Up Option and spare part is allowed as long as it is used in the
way it designed, and on the vehicle it was designed for.

6. Tamiya 60D and below rubber tires and wheels only.

7. All Tamiya car bodies must be painted.

8. Any attempt to modify or to influence the ability of the motor is not allowed.
However, wires of speed controller can be soldered to motor.

9. Minimum weight of car ready to run is to be 1,200g.

10. Clearance under main chassis parts must exceed 3mm before the race

6. All Tamiya buggy bodies must be painted.

7 Any attempt to modify or to influence the ability of the motor is not allowed.
However, wires of speed controller can be soldered to motor.

8. Minimum weight of car to be ready to run is 1,500g.

1. Cars eligible for qualification are TA04, TA04 Pro, TA04S, TA04SS TA04R,
TA04-TRF and TB02.

2. Only the following motors are permitted to be used in this class:
Super Stock Type T
Super Stock Type R
Super Stock Type S (#49247)
Super Stock Type RR (#49260)
Super Stock Type RR/Gun Metal (#49288)
Super Stock Type TZ
Super Stock Type RZ

3. Tamiya original tires only.

4. Motor brushes must be from Tamiya.

5. Only original Tamiya spur gears and pinion gears are allowed.
Eg. 112T,120T and 128T spur gear for TA04.

6. Battery wires can be modified at the bottom of connecter to accept other types
of speed controller connecters.Wire length must exceed 3cm.
No direct soldering of ESC to batteries.

7. Any Tamiya Hop-Up Option and spare part is allowed as long as it is used in the
way it designed, and on the vehicle it was designed for.

8. All Tamiya car bodies must be painted.

9. Any attempt to modify or to influence the ability of the motor is not allowed.
However, wires of speed controller can be soldered to motor.

10. Minimum weight of car ready to run is to be 1,500g.

11. Clearance under main chassis parts must exceed 5mm before the race

TRF 415 MS , TB EVOI, TB EVOII, TB EVOIII, TB EVOIV only.

2. Only the following motors are permitted to be used in this class :
Super Stock Type T
Super Stock Type R
Super Stock Type S (#49247)
Super Stock Type RR (#49260)
Super Stock Type RR/Gun Metal (#49288)
Super Stock Type TZ
Super Stock Type RZ

THERE YOU HAVE IT..THESE ARE THE OFFICIAL RACE REGULATIONS TO THE SERIES RACE....

5 classes will be runned but the expert and the gt4wd will be run concurrently during the race and the results will be taken as such...the best official finish for the gt4wd will be awarded the maximum points of 20 and the same goes for the best finish of expert class....something like the way they run the real lemans 24hrs...so not to worry that if your ta04 run together with the 415s....

this year unlike last year will also see the using of the 23t motors even for the actual tac itself for the gt class as the super 11t has officially stopped in production...
