Season Opening Race - Sunday, 12 Feb 2012
Venue: RaceWorks Arena (please click here for location and directions to RaceWorks Hobbies)
Time: Qualifiers start at 10am. Finals will follow in the afternoon.
Fees: ORCA Spec Class - $20; ORCA SuperStock Class / RaceWorks Open Modified Class - $30 per class (RaceWorks / RCMC Members enjoy $5 discount per class. 2 or more classes enjoy a further $5 off total)
Please note that the tires will be controlled for all ROCS classes and there will be a special ROCS pricing of $38 per set for ORCA SuperStock / Raceworks Open Modified Classes and $30 per set for the ORCA Spec Class . These tires willl be available at RaceWorks Hobbies on raceday only upon payment of registration fees.
For the ORCA Spec Class, we are happy to announce that we will be offering the ORCAQ Spark ESC / RX2 Motor Combo at the very attractive ROCS pricing of $180, which also includes entry fees to the ORCA Spec Class. Please contact RaceWorks Hobbies at 64818132 to enquire on the availability of the Combo. Limited quantities are available. Register early to secure your combo. Purchase of this combo will require an additional deposit of $40 which will be refunded to racers on completion of the race.

Orca Q Spark ESC Question
I finished setting up my Orca Q Spark combo last night but found that there is an obvious lag in throttle operation when the esc is switched on. Also, the green blinking light blinks much slower than the one I set up for my son a week ago.
Can anyone advise me on the cause for these differences. Thanks.

Do bring down your ESC to RaceWorks. We will be happy to look it over and assist in troubleshooting.

I finished setting up my Orca Q Spark combo last night but found that there is an obvious lag in throttle operation when the esc is switched on. Also, the green blinking light blinks much slower than the one I set up for my son a week ago.
Can anyone advise me on the cause for these differences. Thanks.

Season Opening Race - Sunday, 12 Feb 2012

Time: Qualifiers start at 10am. Finals will follow in the afternoon.
Fees: ORCA Spec Class - $20; ORCA SuperStock Class / RaceWorks Open Modified Class - $30 per class (RaceWorks / RCMC Members enjoy $5 discount per class. 2 or more classes enjoy a further $5 off total)
Please note that the tires will be controlled for all ROCS classes and there will be a special ROCS pricing of $38 per set for ORCA SuperStock / Raceworks Open Modified Classes and $30 per set for the ORCA Spec Class . These tires willl be available at RaceWorks Hobbies on raceday only upon payment of registration fees.
For the ORCA Spec Class, we are happy to announce that we will be offering the ORCAQ Spark ESC / RX2 Motor Combo at the very attractive ROCS pricing of $180, which also includes entry fees to the ORCA Spec Class. Please contact RaceWorks Hobbies at 64818132 to enquire on the availability of the Combo. Limited quantities are available. Register early to secure your combo. Purchase of this combo will require an additional deposit of $40 which will be refunded to racers on completion of the race.

Race Admin
Please be advised that registration will begin tomorrow from 8.30am onwards. The first round of qualifiers will begin at 10am. Finals will start from 2pm. The race is expected to conclude by 5.30pm.
Please also be advised of the following change in tire rules for the ORCA Spec Class. Spec racers will now be restricted to 1 set of tires for the race tomorrow. This will further lower the cost of ROCS Spec racing. We will brief Spec racers on this change tomorrow during the drivers meeting.
