Thanks for the kind words!

I don't own any rc cars but just love photography/cinematography.

I'll be back for the 2WD or the finals.

Hi all NOOB racers,

As we go into Round 4 of the NOOB 2012 Singapore Open Buggy Series, the organizers have decided to make a slight amendment to the series scoring. Whereas previously announced that it would be a "highest-score-wins" system, this will now be amended to a "lowest-score-wins" system.

The change will not have major impact on racer standings to date and has been made as it is a fairer method of scoring for racers in the series.

Specifically:

~PREVIOUS SCORING SYSTEM~

Points will be awarded per class for each race attended and number of points up for grabs per week depends on total number of racers. Last finisher will be awarded 1 point, 2nd last will be awarded 2 points, etc.

Best 4 out of 6 results per class will count towards final series standings
Racers that miss a particular run will be awarded zero (0) points for that particular race

Final race standings will be based on points - i.e. highest total score first.

e.g. If 20 racers attend a race that night:
- A main 1st = 20 points
- A main 2nd = 19 points
- A main 10th = 11 points
- B main 1st =10 points
- B main 2nd = 9 points
- B main 10th = 1 point

~AMENDED SCORING SYSTEM~

Points will be awarded per class for each race attended and number of points up for grabs per week depends on total number of racers. First finisher will be awarded 1 point, 2nd will be awarded 2 points, etc. Racers who miss a race will be awarded the score of "n"+1 where "n" is the total number of races for that particular race.

e.g. if a racer misses a race where 30 racers attended, he will receive a score of 31 for that race.

Best 4 out of 6 results per class will count towards final series standings

Final race standings will be based on points - i.e. lowest total score first.

e.g. If 20 racers attend a race that night:
- A main 1st = 1 point
- A main 2nd = 2 points
- A main 10th = 10 points
- B main 1st =11 points
- B main 2nd = 12 points
- B main 10th = 20 points

This change takes place with immediate effect. Thank you.

NOOB Announcement - 28 July 2012

Please take note of the following:

1. Scoring System Amendment
Please read the announcement preceding this one for details.

2. Sign Up Details
As we have a great signup tomorrow (30+ racers!), to facilitate faster race registration, please do fill in your details into the registration thread if you have not already done so. While last minute registrations are accepted, too many will delay the race significantly. Thank you for your understanding.

3. Seating Space
As mentioned, we are expecting a crowd tomorrow for a great race so all racers are restricted to half a pit table of space. Please do limit yourself accordingly. Racers who take up more than the allotted space will be asked to adjust accordingly. Your cooperation is much appreciated.

4. Early Practice
All racers are reminded that their race fees cover practice time starting from 1:00pm till the end of the race. If you wish to run your cars before or after the race period, a fee of $7 is payable to RaceWorks (not the NOOB crew).

Thank you for your attention. See you guys tomorrow!

Great turnout for NOOB 2WD Round 5 at RaceWorks!

A big thank you to all racers who raced yesterday at the very exciting NOOB 2WD Round 5 event. With a turnout of 39 racers, yesterday's event was the largest 1/10 offroad race in Singapore in the 3-year history of NOOB.

We saw many new faces along with familiar NOOB regulars on a hot Sunday afternoon - everyone vying for a place in one of the 4 mains. Congratulations to all who made the podium and a hearty "well done!" to all who tackled the unexpectedly loose conditions.

There was some feedback about received about marshaling assignments and we will definitely be looking into this - but we do appreciate everyone's understanding that this isn't an enviable task and we will do the best that we can. We will keep everyone updated.

Pics up later!

2WD Standings Update

Here are the current standings but still many things could change as it is a best 4-of-6 format so a good last race could make all the difference!

Keep on racing guys!

Would've been easier if you just raised your arm up without any buggy.
Easier to photoshop....
