Hello naj18, baja does not use engine oil.... its use only premix gasoline with 2T oil the mix ratio is 1:25(2L gasoline + 80ml 2T oil)

is the RTR Baja totally outclassed by the kit version in terms of build & performance?
or as some might argue, depends on the hands behind the controller?

Personally be it SS or RTR, you are still gonna mod the important parts. So doesn't matter actually. On top of that in Singapore we are not going to do those massive jumps with our baja. So you won't really damage those RTR shocks that are thinner.
SS or RTR, the fun and excitement is always at its peak!

thx Supa Mario for taking the time to reply.
actually went to Tai Sing today. the Baja is very intimidating!
my almost 8yo son was literally shock to see it.
we then went to Winnie's and were recommended the Hyper 8.
she said for an absolute beginner, the Baja may be too powerful
for him.
hopefully this sport grows on my son and we can move on to
the Baja in the future!

yes I do have to agree. Baja can be a little powerful and dangerous for your 8 yr old son. Its very heavy for him to handle too. Well, you can get a baja for yourself and your son can slowly learn the handling skills from you!
