Bro, the Sanwa MX3-FHSS has an auto function called the "Frequency Lock" which means in layman terms that once the Tx + Rx are on, the Tx will "search" for an available frequency, and once there is 1 available, it'll automatically lock the frequency that it had "entered".
With the knowledge of the 2.4Ghz taught to me by someone experienced, there are about 70-80 odd available frequencies that a 2.4Ghz can penetrate. So do the math and weigh the chances of having more than the said 70-80 odd 2.4GHz's in use at the same time...

Teinsports: The manual is very very vague to start off with. The frequency locking was taught to me by a few helpful people from LHSs...

how much does the sanwa fhss cost locally? i haven't been down to winnies for mths already.
for helis at least, dsm2 by spektrum doesn't have any of the so called lag of dsm1. but even flying helis i don't really feel the lag of dsm1 when i had it last time.
and 2.4ghz doesn't have the silly interference at higher voltages which occurs with fm/am.
i fitted my emaxx with this 6s brushless quark setup and ubec running 22.2v, and any distance more than 30m glitches with fm/am, even with those magnetic ring stuff. very annoying. so thinking of getting just 1.

can check with jpl racing---they are distributors here.
or call up jet hobby, they sell spektrum for airplane, may have the antenna in stock. online can look also, rcmushroom sells. not exp. around $10-15 sgd i guess.
i finally bought a dx3r to complement my dx7. perfect. no glitching. WAY better than FM.

Bro, how much you bought the DX3R? How about the specs between yours and Sanwa FHSS? Thanks.

ya. apparently the power consumption of the fhss is much more than that of the dx3r using dsm2. it apparently even tops the heavy consumption of the older dsm standard of the dx2.0, 3.0, dx6. i'm a bit wary of the potential radiation which is why i decided to pay a bit more. not that dx3r won't emit radiation, but with a longer usage time on 4 batts than the fhss on 8, i decided to go for the one that uses less.
no proof yet that 2.4ghz will cause cancer, but there are people who tend to get headaches/nerve tingling etc with their heads near such devices and i'm one of them!
