i think...
hiya folks,
dunt be put off by the lack of power point, it affects everyone, so it's not like anyone will have any advantage. just charge your packs the day before and peak them before you come. in case you find yourself with a lemon pack, i'm sure any of the blokes who drive (real cars) there will be willing to open the bonnet and let you charge up.
in the distant past, this is what we do as well, so this is actually a bit of a retro experience (to really get the retro experience, i'll need to drive with my tamiya frog... but that's someting else)
like the organisers say, "it's gonna be fun" and i never doubt it for a moment. you shouldn't either. join up! we wanna race!
for peeps who want more info:
-the CC is where BK's old store used to be
-the market has an incredible western food store, yum!
-facilities in the CC are good (cos it's one of those new fangled police post/CC type buildings), not to mention, very safe!
-it's within walking distance from tiong bahru mrt (around 15 mins at a slow trot, but there is a long flight of steps to climb)
-bring a good brush to dust off carpet dust, it will be all over your car
-if possible, prepare extra bearings (diff outdrive, front and rear knuckles) in case they seize from carpet ingestion
-suspension settings are usually on the stiff side cos of the high traction
-tires should be of the cooler temperature range cos it's indoors
-unbottle your fun and sportsmanship and let rip!
have fun always!
