you can find half of fun assembling it and the other half watching it rolling. if you buy a second hand you miss half of exitement.
second hand is good the problem is, it will give you hard time finding the problen when the car give in.
tx, charger can be 2nd hand
its only suggestions, its you will decide at the end
happy rolling

I also encourage you to be brave and take a dive into the deep end....race with the experts. You'd learn a lot very quickly.
That's what I did....2 weeks after I got my TT01

i would prefer to get a brand new car.
1st: you know the parts better
2nd: let least you know the screw threads on the body is not worn out from over tightening
3rd: wear and tear
4th: you know from the setting from the manual well and which one affects your driving style
As for electronics, I would prefer to get brand new too. As least it is been abused from overheating etc etc
these are my opinion, you might be lucky to find good 2nd hand equipments from sellers but it would be better to get from someone you know who takes care of their equipments.

If you will stay long for this hobby it is advisable if you buy a good charger with discharger (charger that can charge lipo or a like), but if you just passing time, it’s better to get a cheaper fast charger (around SGD$ 40) and improvise a discharger by using a pen light or a like.
Motor and ESC – I believe it is included inside the car package, and if you’re planning to join in Tamiya race ask for the requirements regarding the motor and esc.
Always remember spend wisely, don’t fall for the trap of buying all hop-ups on one transaction. Others think if they are fully hop-ups they can beat everyone. Lei!!! Better think again and again and again.
Enjoy playing, meet new friends, and have fun at the same time!
