U all know I wanna get a 1/8 buggy. But:
1) although the hyper7 is a obvious choice (cheap and relatively ok) but I dun really like it for some reason that is not important.
2) I am a cheapskate....so I want to spend less than the $400+ that a H7 cost.
So I bought a used "PRO" buggy off someone for $250. Which I tot is a fair deal.. at first. Then I realised that:
1) I need a pipe and manifold, cos the used set dun have one.
2) I need tyres, cos the used set dun have one.
3) I need a complete clutch set, cos the used set dun have one.
Now in all fairness to the seller, that's how the used buggy is sold and I have no reason to complain. Just that some how my cost calculator is not working very well and didn't compute those cost initially.
Anyway, I ended up spending another $150 to get all the stuff needed. So I end up at $400.
THEN I discovered that a new "PRO" buggy is selling for $430
Ok.. neh mind.. mine is still 30 bucks cheaper and have some really good hopups like 4mm chassis, AL high pin holders etc... (ya right)
THEN.. I tried to mount the engine... MY !#@$%!@#$%!@ engine DUN FIT the !@#$!^@$#buggy cause the !@#!@$%!#@$ engine mount hit the !@$^%!#$@%$!@# pullstart backplate !@#$!^#$%!#$%!@# pui..... !!!
Hiaz... so I am now resign to buying a new engine and a buggy budget of $600 instead of $250...
Really penny wise pound foolish.. should have bought a H7 and be done with it. Instead now have to spend more + all the fustration + all the running around I have to do....
waste time waste money waste patrol plus loose sleep ....
