Default help!! car drop in loong Kang!

i have a kyosho v one s iii, was playing with it on the weekend and accidentally the car flew into the loong kang!!! after that i rinse it with water no choice ...its very smelly anyway before that the car already went dead. After 2 days of drying i tried to start it but the car wont start because the starter cable is jammed. but the electronics on the car still work.

anyone have the same experience?

1) do i have to change the whole engine? of i have to how much will it cost me plus labour assuming i use back the same .15 engine?

2) or is it possible to overhaul the engine??? how much will it cost and where to get it done?

i am a noob in such stuff and i dont even fix my own car so any help is appreciated

Default hyucks...

hiya,

what you have to do is full strip your car, i mean break it down into kit form.

Then you can wash all the plastic parts with soap and water.

you can also wash the metal parts in the same way, but you need to dry and oil them right away with WD40.

the ball bearings, you should wash with alcohol or if you wash with water (not recommended) you will also need to immediately dry them out and re-oil with WD40. if you oil the one way bearings, you will need to clean them out with a contact cleaner before re-assembly.

the engine you will need to full strip as well; wash, dry and oil (cannot use silicon based oils, WD 40 is ok here) you may have some difficulties removing the engine bearings, i suggest bringing it to someone who knows how to for assistance.

when all i dry, and oiled, put together.

actually, this is how some people do their after race maintenance, so its not a bad habit to start.
