About 1 .5 years ago, one of my RC friends got conned by this Barry too. Barry claimed that he can import cheap mobile phones into Singapore, and recruited my friend to get deposits from others who are interested.
Well money was taken and phones were not seen. His excuse? He said the phones were confiscated by custom .....
In fact, several others later revealed that they have fallen for the same trick and never got their money back.
Fron wat i heard, he is NOT in the Police Force! But works in the Prison as a prison officer or something. I think everything got scared becos they really think he is Police ....
Sigh, i cant believe he can still boldly use the same ruse in the same RC community without being punished for his misdeeds.
Can all who have been cheated raise their voice so that we can have a solid case against this cheat?

i heard this story too, didn't know that its really true. i had some deals with him, but i guess i quite lucky since all he owes me is a set of spur gears worth maybe $10?
he also told me about being in camp not being able to answer phones and working as a police officer. now u say it, prison officer seems more likely since policemen don't get stuck in camp for long periods of time.

He switch off his handphone after we had confronted him for the
return. That night, I and Zech went to his place No.53A Geylang Lor 24A standing outside and started to call his H/P. Got sound ringing tone came from his unit but this coward dare not pick up.
The reason why we went down is give him last chance to return b4 we proceed to Police station.
After more than 10 calls, ringing tone become silent. So you guys should know liao....The bastard is inside. Confirm case liao.
We even SMS give him 5 mins to meet us outside....but hor....
he just simply Bo Chap.
He just like a mouse hiding inside a hole scare that the cat will makan it. Anyway, it will die of hunger.
Anyway, due to his place is private. we do want to create a scene
moreover already late around 1.30am.
We lodged a Police report against him. He sure kana charge for CBT. Sentence should be 1 year and fine not more than 5K.
Wah, I think not enough for him to serve.....must add more.
The reason why we posted under selling is becos
1) This Bastard will post all the "makaned" stuff here for sale in return for $$$. Must stop all the transaction between you guys and him. No matter how cheap he offer. Do not buy from him. Police will seize all stuffs under case exhibit.
2) To alert the R/C committee about this so won't be the next victim.....becos this is the most hot thread which most of us will look into when we lock in.
I would encourage those previous victim who ever CON by him to voice out here so we can inform the police that this is a series case. So, more punishment will add on him.
