Default U.S. Road Course Championships

Hey out there! Me and a few guys have been kicking around an idea and I thought I would put it to the population at large. Im sure all of you remember the U.S. Touring Car Championships back in January (btw futureal once again great job on the coverage). It got me to thinking. lets see, there is a U.S. Touring Car Championship, a U.S. Offroad Championship, a U.S. Dirt Oval Championship, why not have a U.S. Road Course Championship for pan cars. I mean 12th scale still has a fairly good following, and Pro10 is getting a second chance at the ROAR Nationals this year in Oregon. What do you all think and where would be a good place to have it?

Hey TrackDesigner, I've been following all of the threads on this subject. Sounds like a really good idea for the pan class. Somethings gotta jump start this class again!!!

I saw in another thread the question posed if you would have different venues instead of just one location. If this ever does happen, you can consider South Shore Hobby & Raceway as one of the locations. We have a 106X48 indoor carpet road-course track with enough pits for 120 racers. You can see the photos of our facility, and if you'd like, we even have a DVD of our last major trophy event this past January. PM me with your mailing info and I'll send you a copy. But we'd be interested. I am the Race Director/Events Coordinator at this facility. We will be running the ROAR Region 1 Carpet Regionals in October and one of our classes is 19T 1/10 Scale GTP Pan Car.

Let me know.

Man this is starting to come together quick!

realistically Id like for this to be early next year, but at the rate this is going, it could be a reality by the end of this year so leave all ideas here:

http://www.rctech.net/forum/showthre...threadid=33200

and this thread will be for updates on the event itself.

U.S. Road Course Championships

COMING SOON...

This thread belongs in the Racing Forum, if I moved it, I couldn't justify all the threads like this I've moved from the Electric On-Road forum.

Default on road nats

So how many will be coming up for the nats in July. We are thinking about getting a 1/10 pan class started at our local track so we can be ready for the big race. Does anyone know how many cells will be used? I'm guessing six cell for stock but......

Yes, 6 cell stock will be at the Nat's. I know there will be at least 2+ coming from SoCal.

Alright guys, start planning because we have a working date for what is now the U.S. Pan Car Chamionships. The working date right now is March 2005 (to give time for planning and not to clash with the World Championships) This should give yall time to think about it and get a little nest egg set aside for travel and expenses (such as race fees and stuff). After talking to my associate Hector (speedxl), he has suggested that we also add the oval cars to this event as well (they are pan cars too ya know)

I should have a teaser website up within a few months (depending on how soon I get someone who can build it for me)

As of today, February 17, 2004, I am now accepting offers for hosting the 1st Annual U.S. Pan Car Championships. All information about tracks can be sent to me at [email protected]. The tentative date right now is March 2005. There will be pan and oval classes for both 10th and 12th scale 4 AND 6 cell (oval will likely have both, onroad is being debated).

U.S. Pan Car Championships Coming March 2005
