Tips
Diffs:
When shimming the diff when the ring and pinion and bulk head are brand new make sure you have ZERO side to side play when put together. A slight notchyness is desireable when brand new. Once it is ran a few tanks it will be super smooth and you may be able to add another tiny shim on the ring gear side.
Shocks:
Fill with oil and get out air bubbles.
put a little oil onto bladder before tightening cap.
lightly sand the top of the shock bodies until smooth.
put on cap and tighten about half way.
Push shaft up half way and allow oil to bleed out the bleed hole while holding the shock at a 45 degree angle with the bleed hole facing up. (to allow air to escape).
When done bleeding tighten cap and done!
Make sure if truck is new and you don't have part number IFW162B (slightly longer front and rear driveshafts) That you have at least 2 degrees of negative camber in your vehicle all the way around to limit possibility of popping out driveshafts.
Hope that helps... ;-)

I found out on my STR during the Canadian Winter Nationals that the fuel tank mounting is an issue and is too far tight. When coming off a large jump on landing with the chassis flex it breaks the tank. What cured this issue for me was to put a 2mm (or close to) O-ring on first then the tank with inserts then add a spacer and an additional oring before bolting down. It makes the tank seem VERY loose but works very well when coming off of a 4 foot quad set.
Just my 2 cents.
As for Diff oils i am running 30 center 20 front and 7 rear

from a fast guy : diff oils are dependent on track surface and conditions but you should start with 3000 rear , 15000 center, 10000 front . this is a great starting point for outdoor tracks from light to medium bumpy with decent traction . 600,700,800 (kyosho) shock oils are gonna be pretty much all you use for the str , again depending on track conditions but lighter for bumpy , heavier for more traction . would post pics of my 4 kyosho trucks and buggys but its too much work hope this helps and stick with the kyoshos guys they are top notch ( and wait to see what gil jr. is gonna do )
