Not really. They are pretty soft. The foams are kind of firm, but I'm expecting tires to balloon like crazy. I haven't glued them yet, I'm thinking of running them without foam.

They are nothing like the belted slicks I run on my other rc's.

Will the Traxxas funny car rear tires fit on it?

Lol, don't worry about it. I mostly do it for myself, and I'm pretty stoked how it's turning out. I like to document my build, and if I go to sell it I can link this thread.

Every time I post something new this thread gets a hundred or more views so I figure I'll keep at it.

Maybe. I thought about them, but I think the offset might be too much. The traction will also be much, much better with these tires.

Good point. I know it is close to the offset of the XO-1 wheels, but i think it is a 14 mm hex.

I have xo-1 tires I could run in the back if I wanted. I wanted to stick with the scale look of the tires I have now. I also really want to get a picture of my tires wrinkling.

That will look pretty cool with that Chevy II body in a close up. Definitely subscribed for that.

I'm nervous as hell about painting it. I have to do chrome on the bumpers, and the front and rear end get glued on

I've used spaz stix mirror chrome with success in the past, but sometimes their rattle cans are spotty. It was expensive body, don't want to screw it up.

I'm also planning on using the traxxas drag timer just for fun. I've actually been wanting to get one to use for tuning my 1/5 scale. you can use both lanes timers in one lane to collect more acceleration data.

I heard you about the paint. I am not good at all with it. I have used Spaz Stix solid colors, but I am leaning toward picking up a paint gun. I have been reading up on liquid mask because that seems to be the way the pros are doing it. We will see what happens in the new year with my hobby fund.

I tried liquid mask in the past. Since I don't have steady hands I make better lines with tape.

The drag car at stock full droop. I'm surprised the front has so little droop.

Haven't decided on motor and speed control yet. Currently working on axles. Temporarily put 60k in rear diff, it was thickest I had. I also need to dye the front control arm pin holder.

Motor installed. I got bigger and smaller motors but this was the only one with black motor can.

No, I'm taking my sweet time. I can only paint body once, I want to look into getting it professionally done, but last time I had bodies painted I got ripped off hard.

I'm also will deciding on motor and speed control. I will probably go with locked rear diff.

I just want this as perfect as a dumb traxxas can be. I'm just taking time. I'm confused about what to do as far as transmission case, and is mid motor stupid idea. Also looking into dragster wheels. I'm kind or scared to glue the 3d printed ones.
