Anti squat
Anti squat ........should give you more steering late in the corner,
(it will square the corner off) then it will give the car more traction
on the exit of the corner.
If you add what they call kick up in the front (front of hinge pin higher then the rear) you increase your turn in.

Sorry to bring up a negative tone once again... but I pose this more as a question than a gripe.....
The R40 designers love the "load bearing screw" design, i.e. a part is fastened together and any shear load is also placed on the screw. Take a look at the attached pic for example, the Serpent 710 bulkhead/centermount has a key around the screw hole that goes into the larger hole in the side brace. On the R40, the side brace is simply bolted on with no keys to align it or help bear load.
Aside from the side brace, the R40s top rear front hinge pin brace, shock towers, etc are also like that......
So my question is for those who've driven/crashed the car. Do you get any bent screws?
Nevertheless, the whole car is still very solid and at least HPI keyed the bulkheads to the bottom chassis

Width: 5.5mm (0.236")
Teeth: 63
front and rear belt are same size
rear Diff: 46T

How do the knuckles/rear hubs and pivot balls hold up on the car. I run a pretty consevative line with my nitro cars, and we use corner dots at our track, so breaking knuckles/rearhubs really isn't much of an issue. But just for the sake of knowledge, how prone are they to pull themselves off over the pivot ball? Also, how prone are the pivot balls to bending?

i think people want a guide that details what handling changes can be made with all of the available tuning options. i know i don't have the time to experiment with them all.
the knuckles are fine. i wacked the boards good a few times. i popped one off once but never bent the pivot ball.
not a problem in my book, hit anything hard enough and it will bend or break. the car is plenty durable.
