I just bought one of the 1000 watt inverter type generators. I don't think it will get here this week though.

as for how much load a generator can use...

charging batteries... about 8 volts @ 5amps = 40 Watts
Soldering Iron... about 15 to 100 Watts... typically 40W for R/C
electric fan? depends... I'd say about 50w

So I'm guessing a 1000W generator can supply plenty of power for more than a couple of racers

Yes, a good 1000 watter could power 3-4 persons. I like to limit mine to 2 pits myself.
The downfall of running the generator hard all day long with a full load is that gas gets used up much quicker, you accelerate the risk of shorting the rotor or stator and at times I've experienced false peaks/ charger errors when too many chargers are charging at the same time and too much equipment is powered on.
That's why I make Karl or Joel pay for lunch when they ask for power

Yeah, I have read that a 13.5 w/bonded rotor it is comparable to a 27T. So can I run it in the stock class?

EX is the new sport Novak BL motor.

yeah, thats look good, we'll definetly consider it Karl. we just have to see if we have enough rails and space to fit that layout. but either way you're racing 19t. you're too fast for stock.
